Performed inspections, routine servicing and maintenance on aircraft. Main duties were servicing the aircraft tire assemblies, cleaning aircraft for inspection, and engine teardowns for shipment. Referenced maintenance manuals, completed paperwork. Operated heavy equipment such as a forklift for moving oil drums in a swing load configuration, stacking and moving engines on pallets, and stacking pallets of oil on storage racks. Operated company truck and van for transportation of supplies and personel, and taxied aircraft as needed. Performed my duties with minimal supervision. Often called to perform odd jobs, had to be adaptable. Examples include moving furniture, retrieving parts/supplies from Grangers or transporting large aircraft parts like wings, fuselages, and engine cowlings from storage to airport and vice versa. Was responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment and preventing storm water contamination by things such as oil, solvents, and fuel. Refueled company vehicles, restocked engine oil supply boxes on the flight line. During times of ramp construction, I would transport flight crews to their aircraft and back. Using radios to coordinate with dispatch and team members. Often had to communicate with different departments to perform my work. Had to maintain work equipment as needed.
