Station & Tunnel HSE Engineer at Green Line Underground Metro (Porr/SBG/HBK JV), Doha March 2015 - Present (1 year 9 months)

The project is a joint venture between Porr / Saudi BinLadin Group / HBK . This project consists of 16.6km of twin bored tunnels, 8 underground stations, built at a depth of 20 meters. This project spans from Msheireb (Central Station) through to Education City and on to Al Rayyan. This project is essential in the delivery of the 2022 FIFA World Cup and is a key contributor to Qatar's 2030 vision.The contract comprises the Design and Build of all works, the 6 TBMs all of which are Earth pressure boring machines, with a diameter of more than 7 m will mine simultaneously and 37 cross passages and 07 evacuation shafts by New Austrian Tunneling Method .

- Presenting statistics and trends at Daily and Weekly Operational Reviews

- Leading accident and incident investigations using ICAM tool.

The Access to Bluewaters Island project involves the construction of a multi-span bridge, which will connect Bluewaters Island (currently being developed by Meraas Holding) to interchange 51 2 on Sheikh Zayed Road. In particular, HLG’s scope of works comprises:

Multi-span bridge (on single pier for most of the spans) with a length of 1.4km and width of 25m. This section of bridge includes a GRT system (5.4m wide for 2 directions), connecting Bluewaters Island to the Metro system.

The main viaduct bridge, which is 25m wide, provides the electrical, telecommunication, potable water, and irrigation and sewerage services to the island.

3 multi-span bridges over Sheikh Zayed Road, which are each 11.4m wide and 500m long. HLG will also construct access ramps to and from the bridge; deliver roadway signage, markings and street lighting; provide a storm water drainage network; and complete utility diversion and protection of existing services (132kV cables, DEWA water main lines, sewerage rising main, irrigation and Etisalat services). Duties included:

Planning for hazards, risks and precautionary measures for critical activities by making HIRAC Inspection of work site for identification of unsafe act and unsafe condition & reporting for its early liquidation.

As per ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 maintain all document formats as based on site activities to fulfill the H.S.E requirement.

I was responsible for development and implementation of site HSE Management system in line with ISO 14001, OHSAS 18000, ISPRL Contract requirements, PESO and other legal requirements for construction of Underground rock caverns to store crude oil. The Rock Cavern is constructed approx. 60 meters below sea level with one access tunnel, four Rock Caverns, two water curtain, four vertical 80 meters shaft and Pipelines. The site was equipped with emergency response facility in line with mining requirements. The Site received “Best Site for the Year 2010-2011” and several HSE awards from ISPRL, Government of India. Four Under Ground Rock Caverns, (A wholly owned subsidiary of OIDB) Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Govt. of India (dimension 700 mtr x 36 mtr x 20 mtr is constructed for “Strategic storage of Crude Oil” at Padur Karnataka, India.
