MEDICAL FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST
Responsible for accurately and professionally handing all front desk operations; greets patients politely and ensures that appointment system runs efficiently, monitors the flow of patients to and from rooms; manages queries through telephone and face interaction; translates & interviews Spanish speaking patients to obtain medical information
Interacts with staff in a professional and positive manner fostering good rapport, promoting team spirit and ensuring effective communications; demonstrates great cooperation and trust; resolves administrative concerns by coordinating preparation of reposts and identifying solutions
Advises patients of relevant charges, accepts co-payments and issues receipt for the same; explains practice arrangements and requirements for new and temporary patients; gives new patients the “New Patient Forms” and invites them in for a simple medical check-up; responds to all queries and requests for assistance from patients and other visitors and responds efficiently with emergency situations
Knowledgeable of appointment systems i.e. times of all clinics, duration of appointments, doctors rotas, and urgent appointments; ensures that all patient interactions are dealt with confidentially and any confidential paperwork is dealt with in accordance with HIPAA regulations; initials date entries; and scans documents; as directed
Secures the building at the close of each working days, unplug appliances and machines, and lock all entrances; Ensures phones are accurately transferred to and from night duty service by programming the switchboard to set procedures
RETAIL ASSOCIATE-CUSTOMER SERVICE
Monitors checkout stations to ensure that they have adequate cash that they are staffed appropriately; count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change
Count merchandise in stock and posts totals to inventory records; compare inventories to office records or computes figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory; prepares lists of depleted items and recommends survey of defective or unusable items
Accepts and offers feedback and suggestions openly and respectfully; follows through with delegated tasks and takes initiative to identify report and resolve problems before they escalates
