Quality Control Inspector

Inspect the quality and accuracy of all work done before it leaves site. RE welding quality/defects, dimensional accuracy. Overall specs. Testing heat exchange coils for leaks in the welding and tubing, both hydrostatic testing (filling the coils with pressurized water) and pneumatic testing (submerging the coils in a water tank and adding pressurized air). Producing reports for all testing. Checking and sorting all paperwork for each job, checking materials and specifications and testing pressures are correct to specifications on the print. Preparing coils for inspection by an Authorized Inspector, preparing paperwork concerning all ASME (American society of mechanical engineers) aspects of the job.

Using Magnaflux Spotcheck Penetrants and Developers, I perform Penetrant testing of various parts before they are put on the coils.

I have a Level 2 liquid penetrant inspection qualification.

I have a Level 2 Anodic Flaw Inspection qualification.

I have a National Vocation qualification for Business Improvement Techniques.

Archiving each job with all the relevant paperwork. Including pressure test reports, prints and drawings, material test reports and penetrant test reports, to be scanned and filed by shipping dept.
