To pursue a career in the field of electrical engineering, specializing in circuit and product design, research, testing, and development.
EDUCATION:
Northeastern University, Boston, MA Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, MA Master of Science, May 2016 Bachelor of Science, May 2014 Electrical & Computer Engineering Electrical & Computer Engineering Cumulative GPA: 3.63 Cumulative GPA: 3.84
RELEVANT PROJECTS:
Major Qualifying Project: Sans Trumpet
Successfully researched, designed, developed, and demonstrated an interactive Musical Instrument Digital Interface
(MIDI) instrument that is operated by hand gestures. Through hand movements, such as bending of a finger or the positioning of one’s palm, an appropriate sound is produced. The final product features the full pitch range of a standard trumpet, offers an alternative visual aspect in performance, and allows for MIDI capability. Solar Design Project: Illumin-aid
Competitively researched, designed, and constructed a solar powered battery charger for use with hearing aids. The resulting device was affordable while also able to charge significantly faster than competition on the market. Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) Course Research & Design Project Cooperatively with a team of both electrical and mechanical engineering students, we designed a MEMS weather station to measure the temperature, pressure, and wind speed. The motivation for this project was to develop a fabrication process that would allow for both the temperature and pressure sensors to be fabricated on a single wafer. RELEVANT COURSES & LABS:
Analog Integrated Circuit Design
Lab: Analyzed MOSFET’s behavior and parameters. Constructed and analyzed various circuits such as the common source amplifier, MOSFET Differential pairs, and CMOS Op-Amp. Power Electronics
Lab: Constructed and analyzed the functionality and performance of various DC-DC and AC-DC converters. Micro and Nano Fabrication
Lab: Fabricated, tested, and analyzed MEMS aluminum nitride resonators. Advanced Logic Design
Lab: Implemented various functions and tasks through Verilog and VHDL with the Nexys2 FPGA board. In particular, a 4-bit arithmetic logic unit, dual mode timer, and state machine tasks were implemented. Embedded Computing in Engineering Design
Lab: Implemented different functionalities with the use of the MSP430 microcontroller board. Specific tasks included the creation of a game, utilization of the ADC to read and display temperature and voltage, and utilization of the DAC to create a function generator.
