PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

May of 2016 to currently- Coastline Construction and RL Rogers Construction which are 45 year old companies owned by my father R.L Rogers Sr.

Studio Management (Nashville TN, Seattle WA, 2016) – Built and managed small local studios for recording and track work.

Recording new artists, tracks for remote session work, demos, and personal projects.

Started Battleground Studios in Franklin TN, but transferred ownership to partners in order to return to Seattle.

Started R&R Music in Seattle WA with partner Roger Mark Wood for current and ongoing projects.

Teacher at Grand Staff Music School (Nashville TN, 2015-2016 ) – Taught guitar, bass, and drums

Worked with students of all ages on basic to performance level skills

Session Work and Spot Tours (Nashville TN, 2010-2015) – Worked as session musician and filled-in for many acts as they came through Nashville, or occasional gigs across the country.

Left full-time management work (which took me on the road a lot) to focus on raising our children, while continuing to offer management consulting services to past clients.

Did local session work on bass guitar and sometimes drums, which was my first instrument. Played thousands of sessions of all genres.

Session musician for many prominent Nashville studios and many small studios. Studios included: Sound Kitchen, RCA Studios Music Row, Tony Palacios Studios, John Lawyer (Petra Studios), Chris and Michal Omartian Studios, Lang Bliss Studios, and many others.

Sit-in Bassist with many prominent artists including: Eric Clapton, Darius Rucker, Keith Urban, Dolly Parton, Marty Stuart, Duane Eddie, Kid Rock, Michael McDonald, Michael Peterson, Richard Marks, Bryan Duncan, Bob Carlisle, Phil Keaggy, Randy Travis, Amy Grant, Sawyer Brown, and Willie Nelson.

Founder and President of Fused Management (Nashville TN, 2002-2010) – Managed the careers and vision for entertainers’ future and even at times provided problem solving for clients’ personal family.

Clients included: John Schlitt (Petra), Bryan Duncan & NehoSoul Band, The Imperials, Darrell Mansfield, Sheldon Reynolds of Earth Wind & Fire, Vail Johnson with Kenny G, The Fifth, Chris Chaos (#1 Rock DJ for Clear Channel), Atomic Blondes, Michael Sweet (Stryper/Boston), Heather Powers.

Ware Management (Nashville TN, 2004-2009) – Started as assistant to Ray Ware, who was also a business mentor. I was quickly promoted to Partner.

Clients included: Bob Carlisle (Grammy award winning “Butterfly Kisses”), Phil Keaggy, Bryan Duncan, Randy Stonehill, The Imperials, The Fifth.

Handled the day-to-day work and business for the artists’ careers.

Created new business and income for company and artists.

Triage Enterprise (Nashville TN) – Co-founder of Triage which was an artist development company in which a team of industry professionals could be hired for a fee for one year including celebrity music producers, managers, publicist, marketing, touring.

I handled the overall management details of the company.

Rickyrick Entertainment/Productions (Seattle WA, 1993-2002)

PERSONAL PROFILE

Married to Saiida Rogers and we have 7 beautiful daughters, I have worked mainly in music management, PR, Director of A&R and/or artist, touring musician. I spent 14 years in the Nashville music industry, and have recently returned home to Seattle where we want to raise our girls among family.
