Hydraulic Analyst
CSA Architects & Engineers Associates, San Juan, PR 2011-2015 Analyzed, evaluated and recommended improvements to water systems, including pump stations, raw water filtration plants for drinking water, wells, water pumping stations and mechanical valves to regulate pressure.
Optimized services areas, minimizing water losses and maximizing energy savings using new technologies available.
Used hydraulic models to develop orders with minimum time and budget ($1M or less) that resulted in the elimination of a two MGD Water Filtration Plants and two Water Pump Stations. Annual maintenance and operational cost savings was nearly $7M. Water service in the area was improved due to fewer pipe repairs and improved water pressure.
Designed and developed the approach to improving a water and sanitary system which allowed for the establishment of heavy industries. The project included studying existing sanitary and water facilities, project cost estimates and project management. The project concluded without time delays and at minimum cost to the government.
Recommended task order with the use of data analysis that resulted in the elimination of five water pump stations, generating public sector savings in the energy cost, operation and maintenance.
Modeling hydraulic systems using Epanet, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and QGIS software programs in complement with information technologies. Project Manager
G77, INC. Bayamon, PR 2006-2011
Established strategies used on various construction projects. Estimated bids for change orders, contracted with personal, and was accountable for estimating, buying and delivery schedule of all related activity during pre-construction and construction.
Successfully delivered a new sanitary water system ($3M estimated value). Included installation of manholes, underground PVC SDR 35 and ductile iron pipes, construct of new sanitary water pump station. Project finished 20% ahead of delivery date and generated 25% profit.
Successfully developed a new sanitary water system with $2.5M estimated value. Activity included installation of manholes, underground PVC SDR 35 and ductile iron pipes, a new sanitary water pump station, along with a 800 meter long, 10 meter deep retention wall. The project concluded 30% faster than contract time, with a profit of more than 40%. Pablo Martinez acxhto@r.postjobfree.com
