Job Descriptions:
In charge of shift primarily for operations personnel and outside of office working hours. Responsible for the whole terminal and all the persons within. Job functions are carried out with a degree of latitude, is expected to use his initiative and make decisions to ensure that the terminal is operated in a safe and efficient manner.
Functions:
1.Receives outline instructions from Operation Manager and the daily schedules, expected to translate these into a detailed working plan to enable operations to proceed in a safe and efficient manner. Optimizes equipment available in order to complete operations and to turnaround vessels promptly. Undertakes “forward planning” to anticipate problems and establish corrective actions. Making modifications as required to meet ordered plans.
2.Calculates “stop dips” and makes other calculations as necessary to control products loss and / or contamination. Board vessels to carry out cargo measurements / cargo tank inspections / safety checklist. Make calculations as necessary, confirms accuracy with third party inspections and prepares documents as required.
3.Assists the Operation Manager in other work and special projects as requested.
4.Instructs Senior Operator in plans to be followed together with manpower distribution. Makes periodic check of site confirm line-ups are correct, and that equipment is being properly and effectively used. Checks, controls and inspects records to confirm that required operational variables are maintained and that data is accurate.
5.Counsels shift personnel, prepares appraisals, makes recommendation, investigates absences, approves overtime, maintains discipline, demonstrates employees as necessary, investigates incidents / accidents and prepares reports accordingly.
6.Investigates equipments malfunction – calls out maintenance as necessary. Checks “work order” request, forwards same to Operation Manager for priority and approval. Checks conditions of “work permits” are met and authorizes commencement of work. Ensures minor maintain (such as replacement of bad order small fittings) is correctly carried out.
7.Follows the progress of maintenance work underway. Checks and confirms the equipments are returned to service after maintenance work. Coordinates “preventive maintenance” carried out by Operation Department. Keeps Operators gainfully employed with service type work, painting and other work for up keep and general housekeeping.
8.Switches electrical equipment within the substation.
9.During an emergency, assumes the responsibilities for the “person in control” until relieved by a higher authority. Makes decisions on how to deal effectively with the emergency using available equipment / manpower in order to contain minimize the emergency.

Job Descriptions:
Continuously based in the Main Control Room.
Receives written and oral instructions from the operating plan and the Shift Supervisor.
Controls operations through Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system.
Functions:
Conversant with Company Policies, Rules and Procedures, Operating Standards and Fujairah Port Authority requirements. The Senior Operator will be a competent/trained person familiar with all aspects of all operations. He is expected to work on his own initiatives under instructions from the Shift Supervisor and direct operations in safe and efficient manner.
Gives work direction and instruction to Operators.
Responsible to assign Operators to work areas, arrange relief as necessary and advise the Shift Supervisor of manpower requirements and any personnel problems.
Participates in training of Operators and when condition permits will train Operators in the use of control panel, monitoring and communication equipments.
Assists Shift Supervisor in employee progress and appraisals.
Review turnover, operating plan and any written Company instructions.
Maintains continuous surveillance of operations, making control changes as may be required to ensure that planned movements’ takes place, planned rates obtained and product specifications met.
Controls and direct the starting and stopping of equipments and maintains detailed log of all movements and operations.
Arranges line setting, gauging and sampling to be completed to minimize delays.
