Personal Achievements: David Munongo is a technical signatory to EMAL 17025 accredited test methods. He holds a certificate in 17025 development and implementation. 17025 auditor, 17020 Auditor. David Munongo participated in the formulation of a number of standards which includes the standard for creosote, standards for air emissions, and standards for industrial and municipal effluents. He has a strong interest in effluent treatment plants. He understands drug formulations and is a signatory to the release of the final pharmaceutical products with Medicines Control Association of Zimbabwe. Registration included drugs like atenolol, erythromycin, ketoconazole, penicillin and Magnesium trisilicate. Attended most of mercury conventions and dangerous chemicals conventions including the Minamata convention.

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT AGENCY (December 2009- to date)

Position : Research & Development Environmental Chemist

Duties and Responsibilities:

Classification of all hazardous substances and analysing them as required by the environmental management act.

I.Monitoring of effluent from industries, the quality and methods of decontaminating.

II.Monitoring of effluent from mines, the quality and methods of decontaminating.

III.Approving projects Environmental Impact Assessments based on the projected quality of effluent to be produced.

IV.Monitoring quality of water in all rivers and dams and trace possible sources of contamination.

V.Report to the director any improvements and treatment that may be applied to waste water before released to the environment

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT AGENCY (June 2009 to December 2009)

Position : Laboratory analytical chemist

Duties and Responsibilities:

I.In charge of all analytical quality control / assurance of the operation of the laboratory.

II.Ensure goals are established, procedures are standardized and employees are trained in quality control.

III.Ensure analytical work is carried out according plans in each section.

IV.Verify compliance with plans and act in case of non-compliances to remove root cause.

V.Institute statistical process control methods to collect, handle and act according to the behaviour of the processed data.

VI.Ensure adherence to ISO 17025 standards in achieving consisted production of quality results.
