As a Coach Operator, I am responsible for safely operating Lextran transit motor coaches. My primary objective is to provide safe, reliable, on time and efficient public transportation for Lextran customers.

I provide excellent customer service including assistance in boarding and deboarding, supplying information and responding appropriately in the event of an emergency. I take pride in treating all customers and riders in a courteous, friendly and professional manner.

I communicate effectively with dispatch and management via two-way radio. I monitor traffic and weather and notify dispatch of potential problems, and report any accidents or other safety situations. I also report customer incidents, motor coach issues and route issues to appropriate management.

I adjust, daily, to variables in my working conditions, including adverse weather, traffic and construction, passenger problems, accidents and trip changes.

I conduct pre and post-trip inspections reports to ensure proper operating condition of motor coach and on-board equipment. I ensure safe and clean motor coach condition at the start and end of each shift. I report any deficiencies to Operations.

I maintain a safe work and passenger areas and focus on safety to reduce the opportunity for injury to myself, riders, and other employees.

I adhere to all techniques of defensive driving to minimize the risk of accidents or injury.

I am always helpful to Lextran staff, management and fellow coach operators.

As Pharmacy Courier, I provided exceptional service by accurately following the standard operating procedures (SOP) for all aspects of delivery, handling and storage of radioactive materials.
