Job description

• Develop systems and procedures that achieve higher cost efficiency and guest Satisfaction.

• Set Departmental budgets, inventories, and effective cost controls

• Conduct on the job training in accordance with the departmental standards, and record progress of staff.

• Assist in the management of lost property for the hotel.

• Manage storage areas.

• Assist with the recruitment of staff.

• Preparation of efficient departmental work schedules.

• Liaise with All the departments for guest and hotel requirements.

• Supervise the implementation of housekeeping standards and procedures.

• Directs the work assignment of supervisory and non-supervisory personnel.

• Schedules routine inspections by supervisors, of all housekeeping areas including occupied and non-occupied areas.

• Maintain a current and thorough knowledge of all housekeeping systems.

• Open and close the shift and ensure effective shift hand over.

• Perform Room allocations.

• Perform Room inspections to audit standards.

• Ensure guest valet is processed and delivered in a timely manner.

• Special projects (rooms, window and carpet cleaning, room inventories).

• Effectively manage staffing costs by preparing efficient work schedules.

• Maintain adequate stock levels and complete stock takes as required.
