Experience

CNA/Nurse’s Tech

Utilize hoyer lifts, gate belts, stand up lifts, and wheelchairs to assist in mobility of patients.

Operate blood pressure cuffs, stethoscopes, thermometers, oximeters, orthopedic tools, glucose monitors, oxygen tanks, feeding tubes, and defibrillator.

Document patient care and symptom observations utilizing medical software on computer and in paper files.

Answered patient calls and determine patient needs.

Reposition patients and provide physical supports to help patients perform activities of daily living.

Review and monitor patient’s dietary restrictions.

Monitor and document when patients take their medications.

Collect biological specimens from patients that are ordered by doctor.

Dispose of waste in accordance to biohazardous standards.

Prepare medical instruments and equipment for use.

Communicate with patients and patient families regarding medical care and patient needs.

Report patient symptoms, complaints, or changes in status to head nurse.

HHA

Transport clients to medical appointments and other necessary errands.

Maintain records of patient care, progress, and symptoms.

Assist clients with ADLs and mobility.

Change bed linens, wash, clean, and assist with personal hygienic care.

Prepare meals in accordance to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary, including utilizing feeding tubes when necessary.

Provide social interactions with clients and try to improve their quality of life.

Ensure that clients are exercising appropriately as instructed by medical personnel.
