The Sea Cadets is a Youth Program that strives to instill self-reliance, good citizenship and independence in a drug and alcohol free environment all while having FUN. We do this with a mixture of physical activity and academic excellence concentrating on STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). Open to youngsters 11 to 18. Chartered by Congress in 1962, the USNSCC has trained over 150,000 young Americans since its creation. Currently the USNSCC, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, comprises over 2,900 adult volunteers and over 9,000 Sea Cadets in 392 units nationwide, including the territories of Guam and Puerto Rico.
