My experience before my military service consisted of numerous retail and customer service jobs. Those early jobs
taught me how to deal with people of the public and how to handle less than perfect situations with grace. I learned
how to compute math and work fast. I multi-tasked as I helped customers while simultaneously working. My
military service afforded me everlasting professionalism characteristics, such as, the importance of on-time as
showing up early for work, showing up prepared with all necessities needed for the day's work, and building
effective team relationships with other workers. I have gained problem solving skills and become highly detail
oriented. During my college experience, I acquired knowledge on our legal system. I can complete legal research, as
well as, reading and comprehending legal documents, such as, legal memorandums, complaints, and demurrers.

Work History
Chemical Operations Specialist NCO, 10/2003 to 10/2007
United States Armed Forces – Killeen, Texas
Working as a chemical operations specialist I performed maintenance on vehicles, as well as, equipment for
nuclear- chemical-biological attacks, including smoke generators and water pumping equipment.
I became a non-commissioned officer giving me crucial skills in leadership and teaching capabilities.
As a leader I ran morning physical fitness training sessions with no less than ten soldiers but no more than one
hundred soldiers.
I assisted soldiers under my control in weapon zeroing during range training sessions and ran everyday
training classes including lifesaving skills medical awareness classes.
I supervised soldiers doing vehicle and equipment maintenance and wrote soldiers monthly job performance
evaluations.
I became accustomed to a particular computer program to complete the job performance evaluations, thus
providing me with versatile computer adaptation skills.
I worked around strong chemicals.
I have an attention to detail awareness due to the nature of my job overseas while on deployment to Iraq; a
crucial skill to keep myself and those around me safe at work.
The Armed Forces provided me with essential skills for the everyday job such as: being on time for work is ten
to fifteen minutes before shift with all needed materials on hand, the ability to work in a group setting or to be a
productive individual.
