Account Coordinator - Federal Government Billing Team

I audit the closed rental invoice for each rented vehicle that the government has returned. This audit consists of verifying that the rental was within the date range that was on the Enterprise – GSA contract which is better known as the PO Quote. I verify that additional charges on the ticket where charges that were allowed within the PO Quote. I edit any change that needs to be made on the invoice due to different rates and additional charges.

Once a week, I collect the data from the invoices that have been audited since the previous week’s closed statement date. I compile them into forms that have to be acceptable by GSA. These forms are then submitted to GSA for payment. This process is completed for GSA Web-STR (Credit Card payment) at least once a week. I communicate with GSA on the status of invoices that are in question. I have developed a record system containing data concerning the invoices and amounts owed by GSA. I have improved on the record system of payments from GSA. I have three high level GSA contacts to make things happen. After getting updated status from GSA, I then communicate to the branches the status of invoices that have not been paid by GSA. Recently, I have developed a method to bill GSA for traffic violation that occurred while the agency was renting the vehicle. Another program concerning toll charges is in the final stages of completion.

Setup the modem connections on the Administration's Micro-VAX computer and East St Louis High, Lincoln and King schools.

I was the District's consultant-advisor for the network wiring, PC mirror network computer, laser printers, PC computers and software (SDS) that the finance department used. The category 5e wiring was installed in 1989 and is still today able to transport and connect to high-speed routers. (Supt. Leroy Ducksworth)

Summary of qualifications

1982 – Feb. 2001 U. S. POSTAL SERVICE St. Louis, Mo.

Quality Improvement Specialist

As a Q. I. Specialist, I wrote software programs to create the Sample Design (background data and worksheets) for all of the Flat Sorters and the OCR Operations. Management time used to create the Sample Design for the Flat Sorter was reduced from 10 hours to 3 hours per operation. The Sample Design for the OCR Operation was reduced from 24 hours to 3 hours per operation.

My automated data analysis method for the Special Training Deck was mentioned in the Quarterly Quality Control Bulletin by Headquarters (U. S. Postal, Washington D.C.) and was offered to all post offices desiring to try this type of project.

I managed and trained a test team and inspected all new equipment that came to the St. Louis Post Office that was to be used for processing mail. My team tested this equipment. I documented and reported problems to the installers until this equipment passed the specification test. Then and only then was the equipment purchased.

Lastly, I have a Bachelor of Arts degree with extensive background in computer science and mathematics. I am working towards a Master of Science in Computer Science. I am a firm believer in the teamwork concept and the use of teamwork in the workplace. With the knowledge I have gained through my education, job experiences, volunteer services, my desire for achievement and enthusiasm for upward mobility and doing things right the first time, I feel I can be an even greater asset.
