Work Experience: -Lellyett & Rogers Co. – Nashville, TN – Director, Facilities Development (AEC), develop, implement and sell information service tools for healthcare facilities in North America. Provide leadership and specialized expertise to the development of L&R’s unique service offerings for complex infrastructure’s design/build and maintenance/repair/operations, with a special focus on healthcare infrastructure. The firm’s offering improves project delivery schedules and increases MRO efficiency while lowering costs throughout the facility lifecycle. Responsible for marketing and sales activities in support of the North American market opportunity, as well as involvement in long-term initiatives and planning for enhancing the service offering and growing the organization. This includes generation of personal business plan to introduce services to qualified prospects, sales activities to turn targeted prospects into clients, and on-going project / account management to insure successful implementation and adoption across multi-facility client organizations.

-J & J Worldwide Services, Inc. – Las Vegas, NV - Project Manager for operations, construction and building maintenance of the Mike O’Callaghan Federal Medical Center at Nellis & Creech AFBs. Reaccredited in 2015 by TJC. Providing leadership and expertise for the 8 buildings, and 550,000 sq.ft. on 49 acre campus. Direct management of 20 direct reports including stationary engineers. Manages programs to maintain buildings, pest control, grounds and equipment. Manage the procurement/generation of all utilities and their distribution systems. Coordinates Maintenance activities for all 3 Departments in order to ensure safe and efficient operations of the Hospital. Recommends development of physical facilities and reviews/approves plans of construction. Coordinate with contractors, architects, engineers, and material and equipment suppliers. Establish and manage Preventive Maintenance Programs. Periodically inspect buildings and utility systems in order to determine need for alterations/ repairs. Assist or direct security, safety, fire control, and HAZMAT programs. Maintain records which give a repair history for all equipment, ensuring TJC, NFPA compliance. Prepare, submit & monitor required departmental budgets. Write, coordinate & publish policy & plans for personnel to follow on relevant or compliance related requirements.

-Southern Nevada Health District – Las Vegas, NV. Project Manager for Federal & Homeland Security Grants. Ensure deliverables are planned and met within agreed upon timelines and within budget. Prepare submissions to the CDC via the State of Nevada. Co-wrote all hazards plans prepared by the Office of Public Health Preparedness for Clark County (Including Bioterrorism & Pandemics).

-354th Medical Group, Eielson AFB, AK – Commander, Medical Logistics and Business Resources. Provide medical logistic support, contracting coordinator and facilities support to Eielson AFB, Clear AS, and the 168th ANG. Responsible for facilities, staff & patient safety, as well as, Joint Commission, NFPA, ADA, OSHA policy compliance. Patient Advocate for 40,000 customers. Responsible for the procurement, as well as, shipping & receiving of drugs and medical supplies, contracted staff, contracts for housekeeping/landscaping & maintenance sub-contractors. Prepare monthly utilization reports for departments, analyze data and make recommendations to Executive Committee. Administer Customer Satisfaction Survey for Quality Management Team, which I chaired.

-USAF School of Aerospace Medicine, Brooks AFB, TX – Squadron Commander & Chief of Resources. Provide leadership and guidance to 368 staff members and over 22,000 medical students. As Chief of Resources I monitored, consulted and provided contract oversight on the construction of a $27M state of the art School building and a $5M student dormitory. Received the DoD Irwin Award for Quality.

-722nd Medical Group, March AFB, CA – Director Logistics and Squadron Commander. Lead, manage and direct a 40-person team in support of a 175-bed regional hospital. Provide medical procurement of equipment & supplies for 800 military staff and 140,000 patients annually. Coordinate on $16M in project contracts; provide guidance on compliance issues (EPA, CARB, OSHA, NFP, ADA & JCAHO) for 174,000 sq.ft. Hospital, 85,000 sq.ft. Dental clinic. Patient Advocate for the elderly. Project Officer for $90M seismic upgrade to main hospital tower. Appointed BRAC Officer for the orderly drawdown and closure.

-633rd ABW Clinic, Andersen AFB, Guam – Director, Patient Administration & Medical Readiness. Responsible for the safety and security of all ambulatory care, patient air evacuations and referrals from the Pacific Islands to destinations in Japan, Hawaii, and Stateside for definitive healthcare. Medical Controller for DOD exercise “Tandem Thrust”; responsible for the health and well-being of over 20,000 visiting troops to the Marianas’ Islands and jungle exposure.

-81st FW/MDG, RAF Bentwaters & RAF Woodbridge, UK – Director of Resources. Directed resources consisting of 200 personnel and an $18M budget. BRAC Officer for the closure of all medical assets on both bases. Patient Advocate/Investigator for all cases involving healthcare or medical personnel. Worked closely with AFOSI and Ministry of Defense on cases involving crimes. OIC of BRAC closures of both bases.

-Malcolm Grow USAF Medical Center, Andrews AFB, MD – Asst. Director, Resource Management. Deputy Controller for 372-bed medical center for the National Capitol Region. Controller for six months during the Gulf War running the Medical Control Center, two ambulatory care clinics and a Dental care facility which was done by contract. Partnered with the VA to save $170,000 on MRI equipment purchase. This was a first ever joint venture between the USAF and VA. Participated in high level discussions about creating shared facilities, including the Mike O’Callaghan Medical Center.

-ACF/AFDW, Bolling AFB, DC – Prior enlisted Accountant for high level units assigned to the National Capitol Region. A/R, A/P, Travel, Payroll, G/L & Audit procedures for accounts totaling $389M. Selected for direct commission in 1989 by the USAF Surgeon General to become a Medical Service Corps Officer.
