Project management experience during my 25 year career with Saudi Aramco included multiple oil and gas projects as follows.

KAPSARC PROJECT – New King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Senior Project Engineer assigned to the Utilities, Solar Energy Field and Site Development. My project management responsibilities for this LSTK construction contract included project controls, program interface coordination between the site Contractors, program coordinator for the Company Enterprise Project Management System, technical support for building management systems, pre-commissioning and testing, resolution of key project contract and schedule issues and technical concerns. My assignment was successfully completed. MANIFA PROJECT – New 900MMB mega project Central Processing Facility and Gas Oil Separation Plant (GOSP), Manifa, Saudi Arabia. Senior Project Engineer responsible for the project management of the LSTK Contract for the Utilities Area Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls and Infrastructure. I supervised the Utilities Unit comprised of a dedicated team of Project Engineers and Site Superintendents during the construction and pre- commissioning phase and was accountable to deliver the Utilities area electrical, FF instrumentation, Control Building, Process Interface Buildings and Substations. I was also the Senior Project Engineer and Process Control Systems (PCS) Coordinator for the integration of the Core, Cogen and Utilities Packages and located in the PCS office, staging and SAT area in Dammam. All project areas were completed on schedule.

SHAYBAH EXPANSION PROJECT – New 300 MMB mega project GOSP, Shaybah, Saudi Arabia Lead Project Engineer responsible for the project management of the LSTK Contract for the FEED, detailed design, FAT/SAT, construction and pre-commissioning of the Control and Process Interface Buildings, ESD and PCS systems and FF instrumentation. I was initially assigned to the Contractor office in Calgary, Canada and later assigned at site in Shaybah where I supervised an experienced team of PCS and Instrument Project Engineers and Site Superintendents. The project was completed on schedule.

LUBEREF DCS UPGRADE PROJECT – DCS modernization and upgrade of this joint venture Saudi Aramco and Exxon Mobil Lube Oil Refinery, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Lead Project Engineer responsible for EPC FEED phase. My assignment was in a project management Consultant role on the job site. This phase of the project was completed on schedule. JEDDAH REFINERY DCS UPGRADE PROJECT – DCS upgrade of this existing Refinery, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Lead Project Engineer responsible for project management of the LSTK Contract for the engineering, procurement, construction, and pre-commissioning. The assignment was on site and the scope included a new DCS, ESD and FF instrumentation, Control Building upgrade and leading FAT/SAT. The project included a hot cutover and was completed six months ahead of schedule.

RABIGH REFINERY CONTROL SYSTEM UPGRADE – Upgrade of this existing Refinery, Rabigh, Saudi Arabia. Project Engineer responsible for the instrumentation, control, ESD systems, fire and gas detection and alarm systems, Process Fired Heater and Boiler Management Systems. The assignment included the project management of the Design Contractor for engineering and LSPB Contractor during the construction and pre-commissioning and leading the FAT/SAT. The project included a scheduled shutdown and was completed on schedule. YANBU GAS PLANT INSTRUMENT UPGRADE – Upgrade of this existing NGL gas plant, Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. Project Engineer responsible for the new offshore control building, instrumentation, control, ESD system and metering systems. The assignment included the project management of the Design Contractor for engineering and the LSPB Contractor for construction and pre- commissioning at site and leading the FAT/SAT. The project was completed on schedule. YANBU OFFSHORE CRUDE OIL MARINE TERMINAL – Expansion of this existing offshore oil loading facility, Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. Project Engineer responsible for the new control building, crude oil tank storage facilities, ship loading berth, instrumentation, control and ESD systems. The assignment included the project management of the LSTK Contractor for the construction and pre- commissioning at site and leading the FAT/SAT. The project was completed on schedule. FOSTER WHEELER – Field / Project Engineer 6/84 –6/91 Field and Project Engineer assignments for this major EPC Contractor: YANBU DOMESTIC REFINERY & MARINE TERMINAL – New Domestic Refinery in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. I was assigned as the Field Engineer responsible for LSTK Contractor construction activities, pre-commissioning and start up for all instrumentation and control systems. YANBU DOMESTIC REFINERY – Upon successful start-up of the Refinery, I was assigned as a Project Engineer to Refinery Projects and Engineering Operations to supervise engineering, construction and commissioning of Refinery upgrade projects for instrumentation and control systems.

BECHTEL – Field Engineer 1/80 –5/84

Field engineering assignments for this major EPC Contractor included: SOHIO MODULE PROJECT – Field engineer responsible to supervise the Installation and testing of instrumentation and control systems constructed on modules in the shipyard in Alameda, California for the SOHIO oilfield in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. EASTMAN KODAK COAL GASIFICATION PLANT – Field engineer responsible to supervise construction and testing of the instrumentation and control systems for this new Coal Gasification Plant in Kingsport, Tennessee.

MARATHON REFINERY – Field engineer responsible to supervise the upgrade of the Control Building, installation and testing of new DCS, instrumentation and control systems for a new Hydro treating Platforming Unit in Robinson, Illinois.

PULLMAN KELLOGG / MIDREX – Field Engineer 9/74 –12/79 Field engineering support assignments for construction, pre-commissioning and start up activities for the instrumentation and control systems for Petrochemical complex facilities to include: P.T. Krakatau, Cilegon, Indonesia
