Bass Services Electrical Contractor

Knoxville, TN

General Manager Service Group. Transferred from San Francisco BASS Electric to sister company in Tennessee to manage growth of struggling service department and help the overall management of the company after a managerial meltdown. Developing new customer base and acting as Senior Estimator. Helping bring change to the struggling 8-tear old company. In the first 2-months I have helped develop a strong TEAM atmosphere and have been able to successfully bring in over $2million dollars worth of construction projects and over $500,000 of service work with new customers.

Oct 2015 – July 2016

BASS Electric

South San Francisco, CA

Chief Estimator for a union shop in San Francisco. I had 20+ general contractors I bid with. I bid commercial and Industrial projects. I quickly formed a coalition of GC’s that appreciate the work I did for them on all projects, big or small. In the first 3-months at BASS Electric I bid over $8-million of projects, bringing in $5-million in projects. The remaining projects were Design Build, and my numbers were used to obtain the future projects. I have projects I am pricing for the City of San Francisco on large rehab projects, work in large retail build-outs at the Piers, Projects at Stanford University, numerous projects at Genentech, and SF. I developed a new service department for BASS Electric. As the General Manager of the Service Group, I started in Feb 2016 with one man and 1-truck. BASS was strictly construction before my department was started. I grew to 7-men working full time every week in less than 4-months time. My customers that I brought on-board are Digital Realty San Francisco and Oakland facilities, Apple on Post, Emporio Rulli, Genentech, St. Francis Memorial, California Pacific Medical, and AI Industries. International Airport.

Nov 2014 – Oct 2015

Allstate Electric

San Diego, CA

Lead Estimator and Project Manager for non-union shop. I had 50+ general contractors I bid with. I bid 95% Public Works projects. Commercial and Industrial only. All my GC’s looked to me for pricing as my numbers are spot on. I get listed around 80% having the lowest bid.

In the first10-months at Allstate, I bid over $4-million of projects, bringing in $1.3-million in projects.

Sept 1989 - June 2014

West Coast Electrical (WCE)

Orange County, CA

Owner and licensed electrical contractor (C10-603373) specializing in commercial and industrial service and repair. My commercial customers were also my new construction customers. specializing in commercial and industrial service and repair. Customers ranged from fast food restaurants to large private country clubs… From small manufacturing shops to large international manufacturing facilities. Maintenance and repair for 260+ Burger King, 160+ Carl's Jr, and 15 Del Taco restaurants, and over 200 Jamba Juice stores in SD, OC, and LA counties.. Maintenance, repair, and new construction for Club Corp of American, Coto de Caza Country Club, Indian Wells Country Club, Desert Falls country Club, Mission Hills Country Club. and La Quinta Country Club. Some of my Industrial customers: Sta-Rite Industries, Hydro-Flo USA, Nippon Express USA, and Brawley Beef (now National Beef in Brawley).

I worked with Southern California Edison (SDG&E), and the California Public Utility Commission to develop an energy management system that would charge electric vehicles during off peak time periods. I designed my own system EV-2000 that was then authorized by the PUC to be manufactured by Johnson Controls. We were able to get 6-million allocated for a test pilot program to install my system in many country clubs to charge all the golf carts off-peak. The system was designed with a PLC and a modem so the savings could be monitored. Installation costs were paid for from the allocated funds. After the 1-year trial we were then authorized to continue installing the system, but at the club's expense. Return on investment was calculated at 2 years.

I designed engineered and installed the low-voltage conveyor system at Brawley Beef, which handled the final packaged cases of beef to be shipped. The system was cutting edge technology, and used 24V powered rollers to operate the over 300-feet of conveyor.
