Senior Director IMDE Retail: Responsible for the architecture, go to market strategy and delivery of Dynamics AX for Retail. Work with marketing team, sales team, and pre-sales solution architects to develop our go to market plan for retail and CPG industries. Review and approve all estimates provided to potential clients. Develop AX delivery plans, including SAAS, POS only, phased deployment, agile implementation, hub and spoke deliver and big bang options. Work with the EMEA and Asian teams to coordinate global solutions for large retailers. Tasked to build the implementation teams and develop training for entry-level business analysts. Work off shore team to develop Rapid Results, an AX embedded business process mapping and best practice tool. Provide executive oversite and QA functions on all retail/CPG projects. Atexx Inc., Park City, UT 2008 – 2009

President CEO: Startup business consulting company supporting production processes, labor management, and category management support in the retail industry and trade promotions management in the CPG industry. That transition to full time consulting opportunity with leading Trade Promotion software developed for Microsoft AX. Served as the Solution Architect for 5 2009 AX implementations and 3 2012 implementations.as a private contractor.

Developed cliental in Asia and the US supporting Park City Group Fresh Market Manager products and Labor Schedule. Clients included Sheetz, WaWa, Lawson, Tesco, 7-11, Schnucks, Price Chopper. Improving performance within Food Service Developed a relationship with Flintfox a trade solutions management software developed for Microsoft AX. Responsibilities include solutions architecture and business consulting on multiple Microsoft AX implementations and other ERP suites.

Park City Group, Park City, UT 1999 – 2007

Executive Vice President/CFO (2004): Developed and managed all budgeting, financial planning, and SEC reporting for the company. Continued leadership of the Fresh Market Manager suite.

Executive Vice President/COO (1999): Designed, architected, marketed, sold, and installed a new program Suite call “Fresh Market Manager” worldwide in over 15 retail accounts. Developed two offshoot programs from this suite as well as managed the ASP offering improving the performance of perishable departments including Bakery, Produce, Food Service, Seafood, and Meat, by implementing category management systems and production planning systems. This included the development and introduction of over 40 new products with various clients. In addition sold and implemented workforce management systems in over 30 different retailers

Raley’s, Sacramento, CA 1998 - 1999

Director of Deli, Bakery, Food Services: P&L responsibility for a budget of $440M and managed operations and marketing of the food service departments with 22 direct reports and over 2800 employees. Increased sales by over 6% and operational contribution by 9% through better promotional planning and category management. Also designed new central bakery facility.

Harris Teeter, Matthews, NC 1996 – 1998

Director of Deli, Bakery, and Food Services: Managed Merchandising and Operational guidelines for all departments with an internal budget in excess of $250M with 16 direct reports and more than 1500 employees. Grew year over year sales at a 10%+ rate and Margin by 4 percentage points through better category management and product availability.

Golden Corral, Raleigh, NC 1989 – 199

Regional Operations Director/Marketing Manager: Full P&L responsibilities for the operations of over 100 company owned and 100 + Franchise units with 12 direct reports and approximately 4500 employees. Maintained the #1 region ranking in Sales and Profitability for 3 years through team development and leadership. During this time, we lowered management turnover to less than 25% per year. As the Marketing Director, with three direct reports, maintained a $10,000,000 media advertising budget with full responsibility for planning, development, and placement.

Mrs. Fields, Park City, UT 1982 - 1989

Executive VP/COO (1984): Responsible for 750 stores and 2 manufacturing plants. Increased Sales by 10%+ each year and tripled operating Profits. Developed wholesale business to market frozen bakery products to the Grocery, C Store, and Food Service industries. Interfaced with the IT department to develop the Labor Scheduler and Production Planning programs we used to grow the company.

VP Material Management (1982): Managed all purchasing, marketing and maintenance for the Mrs. Fields Cookie stores. Responsible for the commodity purchasing in the Cocoa, Sugar, and Wheat markets saving the company over 1 Million dollars annually. Arranged the importing and contracts for product in internationally. Planned, developed, and sourced all marketing material for holiday promotions.

SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Identified source of $1M monthly losses on a purchased food service company. Identified that cost of goods across multiple facilities varied significantly with 70% variation outside established standards; Terminated employees and sold corporate headquarters; Assessed the performances of the top 20 and bottom 20 stores and what distinguished each group. RESULT: Within 90 days, company reached breakeven point with sales increases of 20%; within one year, sales increased 35% and company experienced $400K profit.

Directed the implementation of a previously unsuccessful program to diversify product offerings. Collaborated with vendor representatives to brand the program; developed a diversified product offering including several new product lines; Joined forces with the marketing department to implement a 12-week promotion of the brand; wrote all training materials and conducted train-the-trainer sessions. RESULT: Unit sales increased 16% due to increases awareness of the unique product offered and sales on additional items increased 300%.

Implemented AX2012 R1 with Accellos integration in 6 months: Implemented Financials, Budgeting, Bank, Items, AR, AP, Procurement, HR, and Accellos warehouse integration with three consultants and one-part time technical person. Project included data migration of over 60,000 customers and 48,000 items. Results: Implementation was completed with 3200 hours of effort and the go live time was met and customer only needed one week of hyper support after go live.

Implementing AX2012 early adopters: Worked on 2 AX2012 Early Adopters Implementation in conjunction with Microsoft. I was responsible for the Trade Allowances, T&L, Pricing, and CRM integration Solution Architecture for these international manufacturing companies. One of which also had a retail division that I also architected. Results: Both companies went life with AX 2012 and Dynamics CRM. The retail phase of the second company also went live in 65 stores.

Implementing AX2012 R3 Retail in 12 weeks: Working with this specialty retailer we were able to implement two phases of Retail and Finance in 12 weeks. The first phase was to convert a current POS system to AX for 9 different food service offering in 6 weeks and then implement the POS system in the center store retail area. In total this system ran 63 registers leveraging over 30,000 products with an average daily sale of over 1 million dollars. We also linked the finance information back to the parent companies SAP system. Results: The system went life on time and support was not needed after 1 week of operations due to the lack of issues.

Implement AX7 Finance, Procurement, Retail, and Product Management: We were given 14 weeks to implement AX7 and transform data from both an Oracle and an AS400 system for a retail company running 365 retail location in North America. We also had to integrate back to the AS400 for POS TLOG data, procurement routing, and warehouse movement. Results: The project went life on schedule with a minimal amount of issues. These issues were all addressed within the first week of operations.
