Yancey Engineered Solutions (CAT) – General Manager – VP Sales (Generator Packaging Division)

June 2010 - Nov. 2015

Managed the manufacturing, sales, design and fabrication of power generator enclosures, tanks, base frames and platform’s for the Caterpillar distribution network throughout North America for the industrial power generation equipment.

Created and developed new generator enclosure design (All Aluminum) and multiple fuel tank designs, with complete fabrication packages including drawings, calculations, and BOM’s for UL142 tanks. The packages were used to present to Underwriters Laboratory to have the designs accepted and certified by UL. In order to be accepted, UL requires working closely with the UL Engineer who interpreted the information and had to accept the designs before example tanks could be built and pass extreme tests.

Net profits of $1m in 2014 based on $8m top line sales.

Increased sales from $5m to $10m within 5 year time period.

EK Machine Power Systems – Sales / Design Team Manager April 2006 - June 2010

Developed complete new product line for EK Machine.

OEM of Acoustical Enclosures and Fuel Tanks for Diesel Engines.

Managed all projects from conception to final product.

Sales and designed the generator enclosure packages, fuel tanks, and skids

OEM sales for custom metal product sales accounts.

Increased sales by 220% within 3 years of employment.

Worked closely with design / engineering team to develop customers’ special product requirements.

Created Excel quote programs for all the repetitive products sold. This greatly improved the quote system for sales and engineering by improving the amount of information made available later in the project life.
