Cantech Industries Inc. 1996 – 2016 (Plant Manager)

Directed daily operations of a medium sized plastic (BOPP) film and pressure sensitive tape manufacturing facility. Established operational procedures and policies and implemented process improvements to insure increased throughput, improved quality, and decreased costs.

Directly managed five supervisors overseeing 70 employees in four departments. Developed training programs to standardize machine operations and product output. Responsible for maintaining inventories of both finished goods and raw materials.

Negotiated contracts with all major suppliers and outside maintenance vendors. Developed production reporting system to monitor waste and throughput in order to establish standard baselines and track improvements. Maintained required regulatory reporting information for OSHA, TOSHA and TDEC

Cantech Industries Inc. Production Manager 1996 – 2000

Developed manufacturing cost program. Developed machine loading and scheduling spreadsheet used to balance the manufacturing throughput with inventory requirements.
