Career Objective:
To obtain a senior level Engineering or Operations Manager position with an

bill of materials and all aspects of quoting.

launching programs
o In-depth working knowledge of DFMEA/PFMEA/Process Flow
Diagrams/ Control plans and all associated documents needed to
achieve OEM's PPAP.

. Manufacturing Engineering Manager -2015 thru Sept 2016
o Manufacturing responsibilities for current production and future
launch programs. Goals include achieving scrap targets,
downtime elimination, and labor reduction needed to exceed
budgeted objectives.
o Launched 17 new programs in less than 24 months tripling top
line sales.
. Operations Manager - 2009 thru 2015
o Responsible for daily plant operation including but not limited
to schedule obtainment, scrap, downtime and labor performance.
Developing process and product procedures. Plant 5 S and
ergonomic compliance. Work directly with Human Resources on
hiring plant employees as well as performing disciplinary
activities.
o Over a six month period reduced plant scrap from 5% to 2% and
labor content from 8% to 5%.
. Product Development Engineer - 2005 thru 2009
o Responsible for all new program quoting, technical
presentations, as well as program coordination with
manufacturing facility. During this period company was awarded
record amount of new business awards
o Managed engineering activities for Navistar International Bus
programs. Awarded U.S. Patent for window component that
improved cost by 50% and eliminated warranty issue.
o Managed a joint venture facility in Alabaster Alabama. Focused
on Scrap, Labor, and downtime improvements. Plant performance
improved eliminating weekend operations and achieving scrap and
labor targets.
Excel Industries - February 1983 - November 2005

. Plant Engineering Manager - Lawrenceburg Tennessee - 2003 thru 2005
o Responsible for all aspects of Manufacturing Engineering for the
largest Automotive Value Add Glass Supplier in North America.
Included RIM/Injection Molding and Robotic assemblies and
complex sequencing.
. Product Engineering Manager - Lawrenceburg Tennessee - 1999 thru 2003
o Responsible for Product Engineering activities on 45 program
launches
o Along with Director of Engineering responsible for opening
Advanced Technical Center (Center of Excellence) which moved
from Southfield Michigan to Lawrenceburg, TN. Responsibilities
included facilities, hiring Customer Work Teams, developing
operating procedures, as well as continued support of customers'
milestones.
. Product Engineering Supervisor - Southfield Michigan - 1996 thru 1999
o Responsible for directing Program Managers and maintained daily
direct contact with customers on new programs. Ensured that all
customer milestones were achieved and managed critical events
with all aspect of manufacturing and launch activities
. Plant Engineering Manager - Fulton Kentucky - 1993 thru 1996
o Responsible for all Plant engineering activities as well as
tooling and maintenance teams.
o Ongoing continuous improvement events focused on scrap, labor,
and downtime reduction.
o 25 new Program launches, including process development, tooling
and equipment implementation
. Product Engineer - 1990 thru 1993
o Design and engineering responsibility for automotive glass

o Manage multiple Ford Launches at Excel's facility in
Plettenberg, Germany.
o Managed Excel's plant start-up in Sao Paulo Brazil.
Responsibilities included hiring production team, equipment, and
tooling and developed their RIM manufacturing process and
procedures.
