Summary of Qualifications

Responsible for the direct supervision of the Fleet Maintenance Department in assuring efficient and effective operation through the department’s vehicle maintenance and the Board of Public Utilities policies and procedures.

Highly accountable for directing the workflow of the employees in the Fleet Maintenance while overseeing complete and accurate stock control, inventory, and availability of supplies and materials at the various facilities of the Utility for the entire fleet through our annual contracts, sealed bids, and coop purchasing.

Was instrumental in implementation of a schedule for all vehicles for preventative maintenance and repairs, while keeping detailed records of work done allowing for planning of timetables for future maintenance and helping to keep adequate stock levels of supplies. These records are also valuable when preparing budget for future years.

Consistent contact with the Accounting and Purchasing Departments, vendors, suppliers and contractor’s in ensuring orders were correct and authorized payments for received goods whether it was through procurement, the financial system and/or PeopleSoft.

I involved in the hiring and training process of new Clerks, Mechanics, and Service Persons to maintain adequate and qualified personnel to insure the most continued cost-effective operation of the utilities fleet while trying to minimize down time.

I was very effective in keeping the Fleet Department functioning in an efficient and productive manner through leadership, fair and consistent management practices, training, self and employee motivation, and a positive attitude towards the utilities needs whatever they may be.

My entire career at BPU I was very instrumental in preparing the annual operating budget for the Electric Operations Fleet Maintenance Department.

I was responsible for inventory and coordination of food product and movement as a Warehouse Coordinator at Beatrice Foods.

Prepared product for shipment by verifying location directing movement to staging area; resolving any problems
