Duties and Responsibilities

Cadastral:

• Field data collection for topographic and cadastral surveys with GPS and Total Station.

• Preparation of Sketch Plans for subdivision motivation.

• Preparation of working plans, and subdivision diagrams for registration with the Surveyor General’s department.

• Doing coordinate comparisons for cadastral field data i.e. mean between placed/found and check compared to original diagram data/calculated coordinates and reconstruction.

• Carrying out for new subdivision beacons based on the client’s needs and situations on the ground.

• Fieldwork and calculations for reconstruction of old surveys.

Engineering and Topographic:

• Calculating coordinates for building setting out points based on architectural/engineering working drawings.

• Calculating coordinates for setting out points for engineering structures based on their engineering drawings.

• Setting out calculated points on the ground for buildings and other engineering structures.

• Setting out of road profile pegs and leveling them with dumpy level.

• Carrying out fieldwork for contour and detail surveys and calculating volume cut and fills in model maker.

• Establishment of new benchmarks.
