A. Project Manager’s main duties and responsibilities

Provide technical and professional support to ensure quality and appropriateness of project intervention as well as ensuring sustainability.

Prepare project implement plans, budgets and carry out diligent implementation of the project pertinent to the responsibility.

Makes decisions transparently and works with utmost sense of professionalism/professional code of practice.

Responsible for effective and efficient management of field activities consistent with project cycle management.

Manage personnel, financial and material resources; regularly monitors the financial status.

Ensure office operations are running effectively and are compliant with all internal and external regulations.

Finds programmatic solutions to specific challenges of the project for achieving sustainable development impact.

Facilitates and carries contract document preparation, negotiation and contract administration.

Undertake regular monitoring and periodical evaluation of project activities and compile findings.

Ensure all relevant authorities are included in the planning and implementation of projects as appropriate.

Draw up plans, proposals and budgets for new projects or extension of projects in conjunction with the relevant team/staff.

Coordinate, networking, and overall representation of the project with relevant bodies: donors, other NGOs, UN agencies, local and national government bodies.

Coordinate & facilitate beneficiary children medication and annual check-up.

Assist administration and Finance manager in planning capacity development and training of all staff, staff selection, recruitment, briefing and debriefing new team members, job descriptions, appraisals and relevant personnel management procedures.

Prepare and submit quarterly, bi-annual and annual narrative and financial reports timely to relevant institutions; i.e. government offices, donors and other stakeholders.

Organize regular internal and external meetings with stakeholders to plan and review activities in the project command area.

Facilitate data gathering activities on the needs of the community in the project command area.
