During April-July, 2014 over 100 businesses were approved for Stronger NJ Business

Grants, bringing the total number of grants approved since the launch of the program to

more than 700 and the total amount approved to over $35 million. New Jersey Economic

Development Authority (NJEDA): as Business Advisor of the Office of Recovery, managed and

assisted the HUD CDBG-DR fund $100 million Stronger NJ Business Grant program by the end

of March 2016.

Conduct initial/final review of applications and supporting documentation based on all the rules

and regulations of the programs for the Office of Recovery in the Sales Force operating system.

Determine applicant eligibility requirements. Identify missing or incorrect information and

follow-up with applicant to obtain any additional information necessary to complete the review.

Work with the Business Adviser Manager and Director when there is a higher level review

required on loan or financial documentation.

Responsible for building the files, insuring that all detailed documentation is provided and is in

order and in some cases conducting onsite inspections to validate claims.

Identifies opportunities for improvement and works with peers to implement process

improvements, tracks open items through final resolution, and manages reporting of program

status, transactions, and statistics.
