Capable of procuring trades and materials. Schedules trades and materials from site to completion bringing in projects within or under budgets and schedules. Interprets drawings and specifications and inspects the progress and quality of each trade throughout the project.

Prepares in advance for weekly conference calls with architects, engineers, project managers and owners when called for. Diligently works with architects and engineers with regard to requests for information, design changes, change orders, submittals and value engineering.

Excels in providing daily photographic and written daily reports detailing inspections, deliveries and problematic issues and their solutions in PowerPoint. Maintains rigorous ongoing punch lists to ensure complete quality projects upon turnover. Reviews drawings and specifications in advance of work stages. Pre-approves sub-contractor requisitions and change orders.

Oversees safety programs by continual safety checks, collecting contractors tool box talks, contractor safety policies, MSDS reports for materials and providing written documentation to the main office and the sub-contractor regarding safety infractions if and when they arise.

Self-employed turn-key sub-contractor building mall stores. 1990 to 1998.

After building and remodeling numerous mall stores as a turn-key sub-contractor I accepted a position with Grand Rapids Building Repair from 1999 to 2001 to assist a good friend who asked me to open a second office for him in Traverse City, Michigan. I was there for two years and was successful in opening the office, securing clients and posting a profit for both years. Having fulfilled my promise to my friend I returned home to Syracuse, NY. Employer: Grand Rapids Building Repair 1999 to 2001.

Went to Lakewood. Colorado to supervise the building of throated major name retail stores at Colorado Mills owned by the Mills Corporation in Lakewood Co. for Craffey Builders. I was then assigned to supervise the building of a 55,000 square foot E.S.P.N X-Games indoor skate park which had a seven-month completion schedule and was brought in in four and a half months after some negotiation issues which caused it to begin late. I was awarded Employee of the Year for completing the project on time for the grand opening of the mall. Sent to Pittsburgh Mills to supervise foundations, structural steel and shells for 80,000 square feet of retail space at Pittsburgh Mills mall and completed 35,000 square feet of white boxes for retail stores for Craffey Builders their going out of business after losing Mills Corporation as their prime customer due to Mills Corporation being investigated by the government. Employer: Craffey Builders of Plymouth Massachusetts. 2002 to 2005.

The building of a 79 room 3 Â story Comfort Suites hotel from survey to completion in Binghamton, NY. I was then sent to supervise the building of the A.S.P.C.A building in Ithaca, NY from site to completion. This was a Leeds Program project and was featured in Architectural Digest and on the local news. It included geo-thermic heating and cooling. Seventeen 210’ deep wells were drilled. This is a non-euthanizing shelter, the first of its type in the country. I was sent to Binghamton, NY to supervise the building of a 79 room 3 1/2 story Comfort Suites hotel which was completed on time. Some superintendents, project managers and even the Chief Financial Officer were laid off due to the economic turn-down. Employer: Granger Construction of East Syracuse NY. From 2005 to 2006.

Supervised the building of two Au Bon Pain restaurants in the Philadelphia airport. One in the domestic terminal and the other in the international terminal. Additional responsibilities included working closely with the Department of Aviation engineering department with regard to drawing revisions and records keeping for minority certified payroll and the hiring of sub-contractors and suppliers owned by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises to 25% of the total contracts. Arranged for F.B.I. clearances and security badges for key personnel and sub-contractors. Was then promoted to Director of Field Operations. Was then sent to refit a bank into a Bright Horizons child day care facility in Washington, D.C. on Pennsylvania Avenue from demolition to completion. It included four sections accommodating different children’s ages which included separate bathrooms with many very small toilets and sinks. This facility also included a basement floor, a mezzanine and main floor with storefront. It was necessary to cut through 210’ of reinforced concrete floor to provide access at the front entry to the lower floors. We also added an elevator from the main floor to the basement floor and a handicap lift from the basement to the mezzanine. Employer: Atcon Construction of Quincy, MA. From 2006 to 2011

Took a position supervising the installation of natural gas distribution facilities throughout the northeast from site, underground utilities and stetting of equipment. Responsibilities included organizing and leading pre-construction meetings with local inspection entities, gas and electric suppliers as well as the sub-contractors. I also was asked to perform site evaluations on properties the real estate department was considering for future installations. Employer: Clean Energy Fuels of Newport Beach, CA. From 2012 to 2015

Accepted a position completing a ground-up Rite Aid drug store in Binghamton, N.Y. when it was about half complete. Supervised the interior fit-up including electric, plumbing, H.V.A.C., and interior finishes. Completed the store front glass, paving and landscaping. Was then sent to Ithaca, N.Y. to take over the building of a 5 story student apartment building at Cornell University. Was laid off due to the lack of future projects and the company’s need to keep 2 superintendents with more seniority. Employer: G.M. Crisalli and Associates of Syracuse, N.Y. from March 2015 until November 2015.
