I requisition, purchase parts and materials, supervise, schedule and coordinate a workforce of 8 maintainers & numerous contracted services. i AM SITE MANAGER FOR THE mp-2 MAINTENANCE DATABASE AND CONTROL THE PLANT INVENTORY OF SPARE PARTS FOR 3 MELTING FURNACES, TWO HOMONIGIZER FURNACES, TWO AUTOMATED PRODUCT SAWS AND ALL SUPPORTING EQUIPMENT THERE-IN.

UTILIZING MICROSOFT WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK, ACROBAT & AUTO-CAD DATABASES i trouble-shoot to root cause, analyze, repair, MODIFY and customize mobile & process equipment involved in the refining, smelting and manufacture of 40000+ pounds of high quality recycled aluminum alloy BILLETS daily.

Reliability Planner-Central Maintenance-Republic Steel-Canton Plant- February 2011 to February 2014

I scheduled, planned and coordinated the daily maintenance functions and extended maintenance outages throughout the 168 acre Canton steelmaking facility. This included a workforce of 10+ electricians and 30+ mechanical maintainers working a 24/7 schedule. This also involved material requisition & installation, manpower & contractor coordination, database development & use, and extensive knowledge of all aspects of plant and facilities maintenance used to produce and finish 3000 tons of service quality alloy steel per day.

Area Manager, Plant Services-Timken Company Faircrest Steel Plant-June 2004 to Jan. 2011

I Continuously improved reliability costs via supervision and co-ordination of 10+ Electrical & Mechanical Maintainers involved in the daily operation of high- voltage power distribution, air pollution control & remediation, boiler house and pump-house equipment, including maintenance of the physical facilities of the entire Faircrest Steel Plant, a state of the art, high quality/ high alloy steel producing facility. This process includes electric arc melting,, refining,, pouring,, re-heating and rolling,, scarfing,, cutting,, surface inspection, spectrographic analysis, finishing & shipping of approximately 200+ types of extremely high quality alloy steels.

Using combinations of CMMS, preventative & predictive maintenance soft-wares I reduced equipment downtime & operating costs via my ability to read/comprehend & revise mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, civil and architectural drawings; I have scheduled, coordinated and effectively directed the activities of all craft personnel including electricians, electronic & HVAC tech.’s, welders, millwrights, pipe-fitters, ironworkers, carpenters, excavators & janitors daily & during bi-weekly maintenance outages, often numbering in excess of 35 people.

SENIOR RELIABILITY ANALYST-TIMKEN CO.-FSP ROLLING MILL- MARCH, 1998 TO MAY 2004

I reduced operating costs by 11%over 6 years via creation of satellite store locations within the FSP rolling mill area; identification/allocation of critical spare parts needed to minimize downtime and improve reliability; co-ordination of 40+ electrical/mechanical maintenance technicians involved in the around-the-clock safe/reliable operation of the rolling mill; performed daily job/preventative maintenance scheduling/co-ordination, safety and ISO training of these craft personnel; I performed weekly maintenance planning/scheduling, parts procurement and bi-weekly down-turn planning/execution which often included successful completion of 50+ simultaneous repairs involving resident maintenance personnel and contracted service personnel working in composite crews and union negotiation of the contracted services required to perform these multiple repair tasks in a limited time frame; plan/schedule/co-ordinate annual facility outages using these composite crews to complete required major repairs in a limited (one week)time frame.

MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION ANALYST-TIMKEN CO.-FSP PLANT- AUGUST, 1990 TO MARCH 1998

This position involved supervision/co-ordination of 10+ contractor firms involved in the construction, installation, maintenance and improvement of the plant facilities and steel processing equipment throughout the Faircrest Steel Plant (all related skills and talents are listed above).

RELIABILITY ANALYST-FSP ROLLING MILL – OCTOBER, 1983 TO AUGUST, 1990

Job responsibilities here included construction, installation and start-up of a state-of-the-art high alloy steel rolling facility including 8 soaking pits, a 48”roll diameter blooming mill, a Union Carbide scarfing machine, 36”diameter billet mill, 72”diameter hot saw, 8 mill service E.O.T. Cranes and related product handling equipment; development and implementation of a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for electrical and mechanical equipment used in the process; identified, documented, requisitioned and linked critical spare parts required for continuous reliable operation; co-ordinated and scheduled mechanical and electrical maintainers in a union shop to maximize productivity and minimize downtime of the facility; evaluated, modified or re-designed the mill equipment to facilitate continuous improvement in order to reduce costs and thereby improve return on capital investments; troubleshoot and repair of the mill equipment; and constantly evaluate costs and effectively utilize and direct contracted services whenever prudence dictated.
