TOPWORX May 2000 – May 2001

Designer

Responsible for mounting digital valve controllers and Go Switch magnetic sensor switches on various controlled valves.

Used AutoDesk Inventor Release 2 of the software, and quickly learned the benefits. By creating a 3D assembly models of the positioners, generic bracket, hardware, and valve. This gave us a starting point for the orders that we received. We would modify the mounting brackets, to fit the valves and Positioners. Update the fabrication bracket drawing that was associated with the bracket, and the sheet metal flat that would be sent to a laser cutter.

Also depending the applications, design a cam or coupling for the transition from valve to positioner. Then make an instruction sheet.

GRINDMASTER Oct. 1997 – May 2000

Responsible for creating and updating mechanical, electrical drawings and documenting changes to product lines.

Included sheet metal casings, hardware, placement of internal components and switches. Responsible for finding different components of better quality and price as needed. Created and modified drawings in 2D AutoCAD and 3D solid works programs.
