WORK HISTORY
Graduate Research Assistant, 01/2014 to 0 5/2016
Southern University Baton Rouge
Worked as a lead engineer with a team of 3 on a research called Modelling and
Simulation Studies of the Adsorption of CO2 by Zeolites during Regenerative Thermal
Cycling for my t h e s i s .
The goal was to design and fabricate the working model of Air Revitalization System to
understand the Working of different Zeolite Adsorbents (5A & 1 3X ).
Efficaciously designed and fabricated the components for the assembly using Six
Sigma d esigning guidance tool and DFMA.
Developed communication documentation to help convey key design aspects to
clients.
Successfully developed mathematical modelling using ANSYS 16.2 (Fluent) to
demonstrate the performance of system.
Proposed an efficient model to increase the
performance of the system.
In the process of publishing two research p apers.
Graduate Design Engineer, 06/2014 to 06/2015
Southern University Baton Rouge
Designed frame of racing car for SU Jaguar racing team for the SAE series Collegiate Design
Competition.
The concept was designed using CATIA V5 and iDFMEA.
Analyzed the frame structure using NASTRAN by
creating an FEA model.
Graduate Assistant, 0 8/2013 to 12/2013
Southern University Baton Rouge
Worked as a Teaching Assistant in mechanical laboratory assisting undergraduate
students in CATIA V5, Solid Edge and ANSYS (Fluent).
Assisting professor in different FEA (ABAQUS, NASTRAN) projects.
Read and interpreted blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-
generated reports.
Managed continuous improvement p rojects .
Mechanical Field Engineer, 0 7/2010 to 07/2013
Star Cements Manufacturing Limited Meghalaya, India
Worked as section supervisor for Crusher and Raw Mill u nits.
Responsible for handling CAD drawings and assisting the team of engineers for the assembly of Crusher
Unit (Larsen & Turbo make).
Responsible for working with the design team to make necessary modifications in Lime Stone Crusher and
Sand Stone Crusher following GD&T constraints.
Assisted in designing and implementing a cost effective conveyor system to transport 1100 tons of
crushed limestone per hour.
Responsible for trouble shooting issues in the m achinery.
Installed a Dust Subdue System to reduce dust produced during the crushing of lime stone which is the main
source of cement production.
Lead and managed a team of 20, who were responsible for maintaining Crusher and Raw Mill section.
