Creative Facilitator/Consultant: ArtCorps – Punta Gorda, Belize March 2014– April 2016

My main responsibility was to provide creative support to our Environmental Conservation partners/trainees. Through the use of arts based techniques and creative leadership training, I worked to build the creative capacity of these trainees operating in Belize and Guatemala as part of the Gulf of Honduras Creative Conservation Project.

This included but was not limited to:

- Designing, scheduling, and facilitating training and coaching sessions for our partners/trainees that reinforce the theories and practices in ArtCorps’ Creative Leadership for Social Change curriculum.

- Creating new creative curriculum based on partner need assessments.

- As needed, co-facilitating ArtCorps workshops in collaboration with our Education/Training team.

- Collecting and sharing behavior change and project outcomes with the Program and Communications Manager in the US using established guidelines and procedures.

- Documenting stories of projects including photos, videos and narrative writing.

- Supporting the creation of an open source curriculum highlighting the environmental education activities developed through the project.

PeaceMover/Latin America Programs Coordinator: Move This World (MTW) - New York, NY August 2013 – March 2014

- As a PeaceMover I facilitated a movement and theatre based interactive curriculum with youth in Pre K- 12th grade, educators, parents and youth development workers in various NYC public, private, and charter schools, as well as community organizations and corporations.

- I modified and co-edited curriculum with the Program Manager.

- In the Move This World office, I assisted the MTW Latin American Director of Operations with all aspects of their current programing in Colombia. This included developing a proposal for a grant from the U.S. Embassy for a Youth Violence Prevention Program, which was awarded to us in 2014. - Accompanied American high school students during their community service program in Guatemala

- Designed “Leadership through Arts” lessons

- Facilitated workshops which provoked discussion and learning about global issues

- Contributed to the students’ development of intercultural communication and cultural sensitivity Small Business Development Volunteer: Peace Corps - Baknou, Morocco September 2009 – November 2011

- Within a small rural village, I mainly worked with the women of “Association Konouz pour la Femme Rural” on increasing their economic opportunities while enhancing their artistic and professional skills.

- I spearheaded a fundraising project for the installment of electricity and running water in the Association building. Donors received a carpet woven by the women, which gave the association access to the international market.

- Obtained a World Connect grant to be used for the Women’s Education Campaign. I designed it in collaboration with the women based on a community needs assessment. The campaign consisted of a series of education/health workshops brought to the village by selected Moroccan counterparts.

- Educated and instilled, formally and informally, on the following: empowerment, leadership, professionalism, management, basic business & math skills, communication, networking, product development, quality control, creativity and cross cultural collaboration. DREAM Volunteer: The DREAM Project - Cabarete, Dominican Republic June 2008 – February 2009

- Instructor: Taught “Writing through Art”, Professional Development, and Arts& Crafts

- Arts Coordinator: Responsible for signage, graphic design and everything creative for DREAM
