Aptech Services Network Administrator May 2001 – November 2002 Montreal, QC

As the network administrator at Aptech Services I was responsible for the daily administration of all the computers. I upgraded computers as needed and created new user accounts. I also was responsible for servicing the networks of Aptech Services’ clients. I had to design and implement networks for any clients wishing to install a network and as needed I had to troubleshoot networking issues such as communication problems, printer problems, modems not working, and files not accessible to appropriate users. Contract Employee Terry Russell Consulting June 2000 – November 2000 Vancouver, BC I worked on a contract at LaSalle College International in Vancouver as a systems administrator. My duties included installing NT on all of their machines, installing various software such as Photoshop, Publisher, Quark Express, and Microsoft Office. I also had to troubleshoot their hubs and NICs. I was responsible for their Internet connection. I was responsible for all network security.

U-Park Enterprises Systems Support 1997 – 1999 Vancouver, BC

As the systems support person I performed all the daily administration of the network including adding new hardware as needed. I also gave desktop support to the office staff by training them on Crystal Reports and the MS Office products, as well as ensuring our field employees were able to communicate with the network using laptops. Provided the accounting staff help with Excel spreadsheets and pivot tables. Downloading all the parking meter revenue information from handheld units, and migrating it into our database. I looked after our access database, which kept track of all our parking meter revenue; I would have to remotely administer the same database for our satellite offices using PC Anywhere.
