INTERNSHIP/TRAINING
Hydraulics and Pneumatics training conducted by Bosch Rexroth held at MITE
Our college conducted a training program for about three months in our III semester to enhance our knowledge in the field of Hydraulics and Pneumatics. I gained the knowledge of different valves used as well as its applications in the practical world. I also got the idea of how to electronically actuate the valves and make the systems semi-automatic.
In-plant training program at Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL), Aircraft Division, Bengaluru, January 2015
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is one of the prominent companies which carriers out manufacturing of different parts of commercial as well as military aircrafts of Indian Airforce. I underwent one-month training in Aircraft Division.
I enhanced my knowledge in the following domains:
Assembly of military aircrafts namely TEJAS & HAWK
Heat treatment of different materials
Assembly of landing gears
Drop-tank manufacturing
Industrial management
Honey-combed structure of composites
PROJECT
As a part of the fulfillment of the requirement for the award of the Degree of a part of B.E. we designed water propelled for the real time data acquisition of the atmospheric parameters
During the process of our project we developed a lightweight, stable and environment friendly water rocket which specializes in sensing atmospheric data and transmit it in real time to the central database. The rocket uses water as the propellant. The sensors and microcontroller are integrated in a separate payload section. The sensors are connected to a Wi-Fi module which helps in transmitting the data in real time to the central database.
After the fabrication of the Water – Rocket and coding of the sensors, we tested it at two different places. The graphs were obtained in real time and duly plotted and analyzed. The launch of the Water – Rocket was very successful and the payload along with the water rocket was safely recovered
