It is with enthusiasm that I outline my background and qualifications for the senior level position within Human Resources. I consider myself a transformational leader and strategic business partner. I believe that character and exceptional service are the most important element within an organization and have to be the standard within HR departments. I lead by example and model behavior that fosters trust, respect and accountability.

My human resources experience began in 1994. I have spent the last 22 years developing my skills both professionally and academically. My human resources expertise focuses on operational excellence, benefits, employee and labor relations, strategic planning, recruitment, and performance management. My background includes leadership in both for-profit and nonprofit industries. I have worked and supervised staff in both small and growing companies as well as large complex organizations with diversified funding and with business operations in multiple locations and states. While my background is in human resources, I have worked closely with executives in the areas of operations, finance and strategic development.

I also have experience in an academic environment, having worked as an Adjunct Professor since 2009. This has expanded my skills as a facilitator and team leader. I am currently pursuing my doctorate in Organizational Leadership, which will also enhance my skills in understanding how to create key initiatives and high performance within organizations and HR departments. I utilize my keen problem solving, analytical and communication skills to support stakeholders, both internal and external.

My extensive background in human resources as well as my management experience overall allows me to relate and connect with people in ways that bring out their best. I believe that every day is an opportunity to serve and incorporate this in all my responsibilities. I am not afraid to make difficult decisions and can communicate such decisions with the appropriate tone.

I would appreciate the opportunity to meet in person to discuss your business needs. My résumé provides a snapshot of my knowledge, skills and abilities. A face to face meeting would give life to the words on paper and provide us with an opportunity to determine if my expertise aligns with your needs.

Should this be of interest, please feel free to contact me at 310-***-****.

Yours in service,

Tina R. Walker, MBA
