SNC Lavalin Power Group Major Projects

Construction of 350 KM of HVDC Transmission line with AC & DC Substations from Edmonton to Calgary worth 1.5 Billion CAD.

Responsibilities:

Develop & maintain/monitor schedule (also Construction schedule).

Provide the Project Managers and Project Controls leads timely, informed, and up-to-date project schedule information including trends and forecasts, areas of concerns and recommendations for corrective actions.

Analyze schedule variances and critical path, run Acumen fuse to check schedule health and integrity, highlight any issues and concerns and work with project team for their resolution.

Define and optimize critical paths, perform total float analysis and notify the Project Manager of status on critical activities and schedule risks

Analyze, probe, and question contractors' schedules, while forecasting and trending completion target dates

Build and analyze schedule logic, incorporate and monitor changes.

Conduct weekly project planning and schedule review meetings to analyze work progress per the baseline schedule, go over the critical path, identify issues and risks, proactively emphasize any

delays in the schedule and coordinate formulation of mitigation strategies there or in the follow-up meetings

Review weekly expediting reports from E&Ps and analyze impacts on the construction schedule.

Critical path analysis and analysis on contractor’s schedule. Analyze what-if scenario.

Analyze report on schedule conflicts, activity forecasts, progress reports, variance reports.

Implementation of Techniques and Procedures for Earned Value Measurement, Trending, Forecasting and Change Management.

Reviewed earned value and expediting reports provided by the EPC contractors and highlighted any deviation from the baseline schedule and the impacts on the construction schedule as a result from changes in the RTS dates.
