Project #1 : Front Office Users’ online behaviour tracking

Description: This project was developed on Hadoop to analyse the online behaviour of the commercial banking application’s user. The analysis is used as a recommendation to place the most frequently used menus and hyperlinks in the Front Office Banking application so that they can be made as default favourites in the user’s homepage. The data was collected from limited number of users of the application on the request basis. The logs were imported from application server to HDFS using FTP. Pig is used as a tool to cleanse and structure the log data and output of the Pig is loaded into hive tables. Many user related tables from the application’s database were imported to Hive using Sqoop. Finally user behaviour reports are created by querying hive tables.

Activities Performed:

Prepared the technical documents related to the project with the help of Architect

Written Pig Latin scripts to cleanse the data collected from the logs

Imported User related table’s data into Hive using Sqoop from Front Office application’s Database.

Written Hive Queries to fetch the required results related to the users’ online behaviour.

Project #2 : FXOPS

Description: FXOPS is a back office application for foreign exchange trades. It is a project of one of the leading Investment Banks in Europe. The main functionalities of the application are to match the trades booked at the Front Office, Netting of the payments and to maintain customer and trade related information. Frontend of the application was developed in Java and

Activities Performed:

Participated in design discussions and prepared High Level and Low Level Design Documents according to the Technical Requirements Specifications.

Enhanced the functionalities of View Trade and History Module as per the design. Changes included jsp, java, xml and configuration changes in the WebLogic server.

Created Data Access Objects using JPA.

Created JMS queues in the WebLogic Server for the new flow of data.

Prepared JUnit test cases.

Fixed the bugs reported by QA team.

Finacle Customization Build Manager Tool:

Finacle Customization Build Manager was a tool developed to automate the build and patch creation process for Finacle customization project for various solutions like Finacle Core, CRM etc. The tool used to download the required sources from the SVN repository and generate build using ANT. This tool also had the value added features like, automatic mailing to the concerned persons about the build creation, maintaining reports about the generated patches and builds etc. Involved in design, coding, unit testing and deployment of the application

Customization of Finacle Core product for Leading Chinese Bank:

It was a project of Finacle pre-sales team for customizing the Finacle Core Banking product for one of the leading Chinese Bank. Finacle Core is a web based banking application which can be accessed from bank’s intranet. JSP, Java, Oracle SQL, and Finacle scripting language were the main technologies used in this project. Involved in Creation of Jsp Pages, written SQL queries, Finacle scripting and done client side validations using javascript, performed unit testing and created the user manuals for the menus developed.
