EXPERIENCE

I have maintained my nursing license, continuing education and BLS.ACLS I have good iv therapy skills. In the past I have been a relief manager for a DME company. The position has been in home settings and clinical settings as well. Part of my responsibility is admission assessments. I perform IV therapy, teaching self -administration of antibiotic therapy in the home with patients having a CVC line during the patient’s infusions. I visit them for weekly assessments including taking their vital signs, change PICC line dressing and drawing blood. The specimens are processed by the lab with results reviewed by the physician, pharmacy and me to chart therapy progress and liver functions. Another type IV therapy I administer is IG type therapy which requires starting a PIV and close monitoring vital signs during infusion. There are different types of strength tests that are performed by patient to chart the effect of the treatment. As usual everything is computer charted and patient confidentiality is maintained.

COMMUNICATION

The best way to get a job done is thru communication. I can make it happen by the way a plan is presented.

LEADERSHIP

I am active in a teaching program and am presently polishing my Spanish language and attempting to learn Chinese traditional. Again communication is the way to get things done. By learning a new language and culture I am trying to open up opportunities to new ideas and helps to unite minds and leads to action. I think and plan ahead before it happens.
