From: Peter Verven, Doctor of Pharmacy and Certified Texas Educator

Date: Updated as of August 16, 2016

My name Peter Verven. I satisfy the posted requirements and feel my experience as an educator, pharmacist and leader make me a strong candidate for this position.

As an educator, I have five years of classroom experience. Being an educator means I know how to listen and, more importantly, I have mastered the ability to communicate information in an understandable manner. This skill is very much an art and has been useful throughout my pharmacy career (as well as in life in general).

In my current position as a member of the Aetna Pharmacy Management team, I have demonstrated success facilitating improved health outcomes on the PBM side of the business associated with CVS Health.

Also, I have the “know how” and expertise managing all aspects of pharmacy operations of a Class A and E pharmacy for a multi-million dollar organization. In my dual role as Pharmacy Manager/Pharmacist-in-Charge, I was responsible for: (a) developing processes to increase efficiency and productivity of pharmacy operations, (b) building relationships with healthcare professionals and regulators across the southern and central United States, (c) ensuring regulatory compliance and (d) providing guidance and direction to senior leadership.

And, as a retail staff pharmacist, I have sharp clinical skills and extensive experience counseling and educating patients as well as other members of the healthcare team.

My strengths include the exercise of sound judgment and reasoning skills as well as the ability to direct others, communicate and interact with diverse groups, problem solve and improve processes. And, I am licensed by examination in good standing in multiple states and jurisdictions.

If you are interested in a team player who is able to realize and implement the vision of corporate leadership, I would very much look forward to our discussing this opportunity.
