Al Majid Motors Company, Sole Distributor of KIA Vehicles in U.A.E.

The E.K. Kanoo name is synonymous with Bahrain’s automotive sector, in particular the Toyota and Lexus brands which formed the platform for expansion in the New Vehicle Sales, Service & Repair, and the Parts business. Since 1966, E. K. Kanoo has been the sole distributor of Toyota and Lexus vehicles in Bahrain.

Implementation Scope

Full life cycle implementation with all the streams of Oracle Applications like Financials, HRMS, Distribution, Oracle Projects, CRM sales and CRM service.

Role

Providing training of Oracle Applications (PO, INV, OM, Advance Pricing, Shipping Execution) to around 100 users across EKK group.

Documented user manuals for the ease of understanding of the users.

The group has vested interest in a wide range of vertical industry segments like Trading, Hospitality, Automotive services, Manufacturing and Contracting. The group also has its operations in other GCC countries like Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia etc.

Modules Implemented

Full life cycle implementation with all the streams of Oracle Applications like Financials, HRMS, Distribution, Oracle Projects, CRM sales and CRM service.

Role

Provided training of Oracle Applications (PO, INV, OM, and Advanced Pricing) to around 200 users across JAM group.

Documented user manuals for the ease of understanding of the users.

The existing business processes (RD050) was reviewed and mapped to the Oracle’s Standard functionality.

The shared services concept for the procure to Pay cycle was finalized after thorough study.

The org structure for Oracle Apps was setup according to the shared service concepts and gaps were resolved through customizations.

The setup data (BR110) was collected for the production setup.

The legacy conversion strategy was rolled out.

Preparing the test plan and reviewing the test scripts to test the Multi-Organization and the customization

Different reports were customized for analysis, tracking exceptions and printing of documents

Customized a landed cost module to meet the requirements of JAM.

Upgrade of Oracle Applications from release 11.5.8 to Oracle Application release 11.5.10

Monitored the detail testing process of the application after migrating to Oracle Application release 11.5.10

Managing the Help Desk calls

Setup and configured the Order Management & Advance Pricing module

Follow up with oracle on bugs noticed in the system.

Role:

The application was implemented for 300 users during (Jun 2000 – Apr 2001)
