American National Bank 2011 to 2016

Branch Manager Training- Trained and developed new branch managers in the following areas; sales coaching and employee development, business prospecting, CRM training, customer profiling and PERC- Presentation training.

Consumer Sales Training- Conducted quarterly sales training as modeled from a Deluxe Sales Training Course called Sales Excellence.

Profile/Needs Analysis Training- Instrumental in creating the consumer and commercial profile questionnaires. Responsible for conducting classes quarterly, training all Branch staff.

“PERC” (Preferred Employee Reward Club) Coordinator - Developed and implemented a “Bank at Work” program called PERC. A unique package of banking discounts and services that attracts new business customers, as well as increases cross sales to other lines of business. In 2013, I was instrumental in adding an online feature for PERC that gave the customer access to an easy online enrollment as well as direct contact to a PERC team of professionals. This program had been very successful in growing core deposit relationships for the bank.

First National Bank of Lincoln 2003 to 2006

Director of Retail Banking Lincoln, NE

As the Director of Retail Branches in Lincoln Nebraska, my responsibilities were to open branches for the Lincoln market, while remaining independent from FNB-Omaha. Hired local talent, and worked with local contractors to create a presence in Lincoln. Remolded the Loan Production office in 2003 to include a Retail Bank Branch.

The total deposits in Jan. 2003 were $8 million. After the first year, the Downtown Bank grew to $39,236,000; exceeding set goal of $22 million.

Focused on the first full service branch location, hiring the management team and getting involved with every aspect of training and building the branch. Collaborated with an advertising agency to assist with the strategy of building a presence in the Lincoln market. The first branch location opened Jan. 2004 and by the end of the first year, we had $39,000,000 in deposits at that branch alone; ended the year with a total of $93,259,000.

The second and third locations were built in 2005. One was a drive-thru only stand-alone location. At the end of Sept. 2006, the total deposits exceeded expectations at $119,000,000. The set goal was $115,000,000 in deposits. Additional responsibilities included, Marketing, Retail Operations, Compliance, Training, Budget, and managing expenses while growing deposits and increasing fee income.

First National Bank of Omaha 2000 to 2002

Main Bank Branch Manager Omaha, NE

Managed the Main Bank location that consisted of two separate branches. Responsible for Business Development by working closely with the Commercial Loans and Cash Management departments. Expanded existing relationships by offering consumer products for business owners and their employees.

Instrumental in developing a package of accounts with various discounts and bonuses for the employees of commercial clients. This became “The Bank at Work” program.

Branch Manager /AVP 1995 to 2000

Approached by the Director of Retail to assume the responsibilities as a branch manager of a failing branch. Hired, trained and coached staff. Exceeded sales goal every quarter and received top rewards in sales incentives. I had three bankers and two out of the three were in first and second place each quarter. *City wide (17 branches) I received the annual award of “Branch of the Year” four out of my five years as manager of this branch.

Branch Manager / Retail Officer (1986) 1984 to 1994

Assumed the responsibility of the Branch Manager for a challenging branch with several procedural issues. Focused on the losses first; then implemented a proper training and monitoring procedures.

Other responsibilities included; preparing and presenting the branch budget, and controlling expenses while increasing profitability.
