April 2009 – December 2011 – NHS Professionals Healthcare Company, Head of Locum Services Division –

UK and Ireland

I worked for a Healthcare organisation, which offers direct recruitment support to the NHS. The business function is to integrate locum doctors into the NHS healthcare Trusts, PCT’s and Deanery’s across the UK. Owned by the DOH, we also provide Nursing, A&C and AHP’s to the NHS

I have turned around an ailing division, with less than £28k GP on spot business per month, to £62k GP per month

I have also instigated a project for overseas recruitment, bringing several large Trusts back on board, through strong negotiations and working alongside the Trusts and Deanery’s to improve the services offered to the NHS

To work closely with the NHS Trusts Medical Staffing, Procurement and HR departments, looking at reducing costs and helping to implement new Government and Clinical Governance changes as quickly and effectively as possible.

Developing a new division: General Practitioner’s across the UK, becoming a one-stop service to the NHS.

My overall responsibility was to manage the existing business and to develop a large portfolio of Trusts and PCT’s, across UK and Ireland.

I had developed a strong relationship with many large Trusts, Lincoln, EKHT, Royal Berkshire, Plymouth NHS Trust, St James (Leeds) Hospital, PAH, Kings College, Camden and Islington, Bradford and Lincoln

Several of these Trusts are now in Managed Service contracts with NHSP.

I had a large Specialist Team of Recruitment Consultants and Administrators

I had implemented a Business Continuity and Disaster Recover Procedure

Rewritten all 40 procedures and uploaded onto Intranet sites

Corinth Healthcare was a leading professional and support provider to the NHS and Private Sectors, the biggest independent healthcare agency in the UK and Europe. My directive was to establish the business across the NHS hospital network in London.

I took over the commercial division in April 00, and currently working on various large tenders for sole and preferred supply

Recruit and train 3 new members of healthcare professional recruiters to run the dental and social work divisions

In 2004 the medical secretary temporary business achieved just on £3m sales, Locums £475k, Dental £320k on both temporary and permanent desks, social working in excess of £176k on a single temporary desk.

I worked on new software for this division as it is currently paper based. This was to be launched Monday 8th March 02
