Building Automation Control System Upgrade Phase V

Achieved successful financial, contractual, and project performance. Original Project completed ahead of project schedule. Add on 1.4M Chiller and ATS/electrical Conductor replacements were completed within negotiated timeframe. Coordinated all communications between Siemens and government CO.

Project Management – Managed the process of replacing and retrofitting equipment to ensure designed energy savings are attained. Equipment upgrades and changes include the replacement of Air Handling Units (AHUs), Mainframe Breaker Testing, Motor Control Center(MCC) Panel Repair and Replacement, Fire Suppression System, and installation of Boiler Feedwater Controls. Other project activities included upgrading ATS/electrical conductors and replacing a chiller.

Planning and Budgeting – Evaluated and approved subcontractor invoices for payment. Analyzed and reviewed plans, drawings and submissions prior to client submission. Maintained project document library.

Project Manager, U.S. Embassy Construction 03/2013 – 01/2016

Subcontractor on three Caddell Construction projects for overseas U.S. Embassies. Coordinated all communication between Siemens and Caddell.

Project Management – Managed personnel and resources in order to achieve project milestones on time and within budget. Oversaw the commissioning of Siemens’ switchgear panels and associated equipment and the Electrical Power Management System (EPMS) in both secure and non-secure sections of the Embassy compound. Reviewed and submits plans, drawings, and submissions before providing them to Caddell for approval.

Planning and Budgeting – Secured a subcontractor to provide on-site installation of equipment. Reviewed and approved invoices to send to Caddell for payment. Maintained Integrated Master Schedule, documenting past, present and future project activities. Met or exceeded all deadlines imposed by contractor. Updated and maintained document library.

Project Manager, Tobyhanna Army Depot 10/2012 – 12/2013

Building Automation Control System Upgrade Phase II

Project Management – Managed project responsible for updating the controls and software systems for Tobyhanna Army Depot. Coordinated replacement of wiring and software for three warehouse buildings and one daycare center. Directed control upgrades from the Siemens Talon Lon product line, including Raptor, Predator, and programmable thermostats, allowing for adjustable control capabilities and more visibility and options for chillers, sensors, actuators, and network devices. Led the completion of installation and testing phases for the installation of LONWorks controllers and integration to the existing Utility Monitoring and Control System.

Planning and Budgeting – Took over this project because it was behind schedule due to additional government conditions. Negotiated a revised schedule then completed the original project and additional requirements within the new timeframe. Managed subcontractor and all communications between Siemens and government CO. Maintained document library.

Project Manager, Jesco Construction Embassy BAS 10/2012 – 06/2014

Subcontractor on a Jesco Construction project for an overseas U.S. Embassy. Served as the primary point of contact between Siemens and Jesco.

Project Management – Managed project responsible for providing the Building Automation System (BAS) in both secure and non-secure sections of the Embassy compound. Coordinated the incorporation of chillers, AHUs, EPMS, fire alarms, and fuel systems into a Siemens Apogee Building Automation System using Insight software. Led personnel and provided resource management in order to maintain correct number of technical resources to achieve project activities such as installing and configuring the BAS within the contractor’s time schedule with the government.

Planning and Budgeting – Evaluated and approved subcontractor invoices for payment. Responsible for achieving sufficient financial, contractual, and project performance.

Surge Support, U.S. Army Access Control Point Program (ACP) 12/2008 – 10/2012

Project Management – Managed the repair piece of the project responsible for providing proactive preventative maintenance and repairs for Physical Security Equipment at U.S. Army bases worldwide.

Planning and Budgeting – Took the initiative to develop tracking spreadsheets, schedules and procedures for repair of barriers, x-ray and explosive detectors. With the new tools I created in place it became my position to manage the repair portion of the contract.
