Owner from 1974 to 2016, Bernard Israel Consulting

Owner and Operator of 5th Ave. Desserts, San Rafael, Ca. from 1993 to 2003. My wife decided she wanted a Bakery to bake her award winning Cheesecakes. I assisted her in the purchase of a bakery in Marin County for her to produce 1000’s of cheesecakes for the Williams-Sonoma Catalog. This was a full line bakery.

When we sold the bakery in 2003, we had increased sales 10 times, created a morning wholesale business, and enjoyed accounts such as: Nordstrom, Andronico’s (9 locations) Molly Stones(8 locations), (Northern California) many restaurants, and a host of Hotels in San Francisco.

July 2003 to 2007 worked as a Mortgage Broker: World Savings and Loan, business was generated by cold calling and cold canvasing. Management indicated I was #2 Broker in U.S.A. in retail sales. Wachovia bought World S&L and then Wells Fargo bought Wachovia. Worked at Wells Fargo for 6 months then went to Bank of America. Long Island University 1969, Bachelor Science Degree in Finance and minor in Accounting

Associate Degree in Culinary Arts, 1962. Upon graduating I was recruited by Loews Corp. to participate in the opening of the largest hotel in the world, at that time, “The Americana Hotel.”
