Leading Design and Engineering Team in wastewater treatment, anaerobic digestion system and related system for Waste to Energy Plant.

Plan, co-ordinate and execute work between mechanical, electrical and other trades in successful completion of project.

Project execution with ontime deliverables interms of co-ordinating with other groups in project management and optimisation with manufacturing process.

Design of customized Water Treatment plants to cater the customer requirement – UPW (Ultra-Pure Water), UF/MBR (Ultra Filtration/Membrane Bio Reactor), RO (Reverse Osmosis)

Design of detailed Modeling of Piping layouts, Isometric drawings, Pressure vessel design, as built drawings, Codes & Standards (ASME, B31.3, B31.8, API600, ASME sec-8) using CADWorx, PDMS, Smart plant 3D.

Global support with in GE, countries like Australia, Canada, and USA. Familiar with different country design and drafting standards.

Developed and implemented a strategic plan to check the quality of drawing before sending to customers

Worked with team on site to deliver the 100% to check the construction Vs. Drawings.

July 2006 – Sep 2010: CAD Design Team Leader, GE’s India Industrial Pvt. Ltd.

Design and develop complete new product and catering new product development, design and reverse engineering support to GE’s USA team.

Key achievements:

Designed two cameras based optical imaging system for scratch-Mar quantification, which was patented in US.

Design and development of process and system for Long fiber reinforced thermoplastic (LFRT) composites - This process essentially involves passing of a fiber roving over a closely spaced pins, in a resin bath and impregnating the fiber bundle.

May 2002-Dec 2004, CAD Engineer, Kewaunee Scientific Corporation, Bangalore

Supporting Design and R&D Team in USA for the Design and Development of Scientific Equipment such as Fume hoods, Canopy hoods of type Restricted Bypass and Open Bypass and also into Design of Bio-Safety Chambers and Dampers.

Involved in product design and re-engineering in sheet metal applications, using solid works cad tool

Also job involves preparation of ECR (Engineering Change Request) Documentation and Submitting to V.P ((Eng) g,) in US for approval against ECN (Engineering Change Notification). Having Good Knowledge in Part Modeling and Assembly in Solid Works 2003/04.

Localization of Supreme Air LV Fume Hood- Kewaunee's new high efficiency fume hood, offers unsurpassed safety, a host of user-friendly features, and significant energy savings. The new model uses low velocity/low volume technology to produce containment control levels below 0.05 ppm (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, ASHRAE 110), without any sash restrictions whatsoever! This is accomplished by using seven original fume hoods innovations this not only simplified the design but also improved the efficiency at this lower velocity.

Nov 2001- April 2002: CAD Engineer, WIPRO e-PERIPHERALS, Mysore

Designing and development of R.D. Mounting Bracket-The scope of the project is making solid model using Pro/Engineer and Solidworks of the components for prototype and to check functional aspects of the component & further the same for Tooling. Five parts of the printer model-LQ was replaced by a single part (Printer Cover) with the function being the same (Value Engineering)

LX800DX (Name of the printer model) Designing of Jigs, fixtures and Gauges using CAD software Pro/Engineer Fixtures were designed for assembling bush and Print Head grounding Plate on Carriage (Printer Head mounting part). Another fixture was designed to assemble parts on Platen (Printing part on which printer is going to make impression so, outer part will be soft).

Design and development of dummy cartridge for MINOLTA LASER PRINTER - This project involves replacement of original cartridge dummy cartridge, for conversion of costly color printer to cheaper monochrome printer for low-end market. The Color cartridge’s dimensions were measured using C.M.M (Co-ordinate Measuring Machine) and then dummy cartridge was modeled using CAD software Pro/Engineer did modeling and Prototype was made and checked with the existing one. This project was successful & the printer is running in excellent condition. This project was done for cost cutting.

Project title: Design and making die for Carriage” for Dot matrix printer. This project involved designing the carriage for dot matrix printer (carries printer head while printing) this is very critical component. The component was designed and later tool design was done and assisted its manufacturing of Mould.
