Platinum media Company Ltd and Media Master International Ltd are two associated medium size advertising company’s specializing in indoor and outdoor advertising business in Tanzania and Kenya respectively.

After leading the team that completed the comprehensive valuation analysis and credit review of various acquisition targets in the Tanzania, and playing a key role in the due diligence effort that was crucial to the successful merger / acquisition, I was promoted to head the Financial and Administrative functions of the Tanzania office.

Key Achievements:

●Liaised with the principal clients, vendors, financial and banking institutions on related activities and supported top management on contractual negotiations that effect company’s financial or non-financial obligations.

With the success of Brookside Dairy, I was seconded to Kenya Clay Products Ltd at its inception as the Chief Accountant to oversee the construction and eventual commissioning of the giant Clay Tiles and Bricks manufacturing factory in Kenya. I was instrumental in the preparation of the feasibility study, the budgets and the cash flows and liaising with the various suppliers and contractors to ensure the project met the targets set.

Closed and prepared monthly financial statements and audit reports. Performed monthly account reconciliations and monitored general ledger transactions. I worked in collaboration with line managers to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information in support of overall business objectives.

Key Achievements:

●Analyzed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and trends which included establishing financial benchmarks of acceptable performance as well as comparison of actual results to budget thus initiating corrective actions.

As the Group Accountant, was directly involved with the entire line managers in formulating and fine tuning the annual budgets and capital expenditure outlay requirements and projecting and providing the needed financial and accounting backup required to project the various undertakings. It was during my tenure as the group accountant that I lead a team of consultants and managers in the feasibility study that eventually realized the formation, construction and commissioning of the Brookside Dairy, the biggest private dairy production company in East and Central Africa.
