Job Details:

• Working alone to operate a plant consisting of four distillation units and four reactors producing base materials for industrial processes.

• Taking hourly samples from all units; checking computerised test results; making necessary adjustments. Maintaining regular, detailed documentation at all process stages.

• Monitoring stock levels of all raw materials, advising the buying team of impending shortages.

• Conducting tests to check moisture content of all reactor batches prior to production.

• Working under pressure to maintain production targets and deadlines and ensure a continuous supply of base materials to two high volume production plants.

• Liaising with engineers on plant breakdowns. Washing equipment thoroughly to remove hazardous chemical residues and ensure safe working conditions.

• Maintaining stringent weekly safety and housekeeping audits; speedily addressing problems.
