COMPANY NAME : Greaves cotton(Automotives) limited Ranipet. YEAR OF EXP : (2012 to 2014)

DESIGNATION : Diploma engineer trainee.

ROLE OF JOB : Engine Testing and Assemble engineer. PRODUCT : Single cylinder, four stroke of air cooled diesel Engine.

CUSTOMERS : PIAGGIO, MAHINDRA &MAHINDRA, TVS,

APECITY.

WORKING PROCEDURE OF ENGINE TESTING:

Loading the engine on test bed then clamp and Giving all connections like fuel, dynamometer, Starter motor,oilhose,airfilter,overflow hose.

Clean the engine and test bed using air.

Min Rpm bolt to Min. position (Approx.)

Connect the engine with D.C power to the starter motor and start the engine .

After starting accelerate upto 1100 to 1300 RPM in no load condition and check oil pressure at the initial start.

Then Run in Cycle in 4 different RPM and Load conditions.

Next Fuel Delivery Setting in this Leak test with breather gauge for 120 sec at 3600 RPM .

Then Adjust RPM (1100 to 1200) and stop the engine.Next rotate Fly wheel in TDC position set tappet gap setting .

Again start the engine and set the Rated power at 3600rpm,max torque at 2200- 2400rpm,EGR setting,Idling speed setting and also check Smoke, Fuel Consumption & Temperature in Rated power, Max Torque setting.

Disconnect the Fuel line to Stop the Engine

Finally unloading the engine after performance test.

Handled problems and suggested solutions

Knowledge in 5’s, kaizen, TPM

Knowledge of rejection & rework analysis.

CONVEYOR ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE:

Speed of conveyor is 70sec.And number of stages are 30.

Experience in Piston, Fuel cuttof, Linkge satge, and other all stages.

PDI Gap setting, and all other satges,

To separate the customer defect spares and resupply new spares. PRESENT EXPERIENCE:
