Sr. Mechanical Designer

Designed test parts and test assemblies utilizing company guidelines, material specifications and sketches from engineer. Created 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks. Developed general arrangement drawings based on sketches, written and/or verbal instructions from engineer or machine shop by using AutoCAD. Populated bills of materials and entered new part numbers into company’s PLM system Epicor. Communicated with vendors for verifying part specifications and gathered quote pricing when needed. Collaborated with production team verifying parts were being processed and also with purchasing for material procurement.
