Was the shop steward in this unionized machine shop. Due to economic lay-off, worked with the ST. Louis Post Dispatch in paper distribution for a short time before being recruited by Highland Machine and Screw Co. as a CNC Programmer. Was promoted in just four weeks to Machine Shop Foreman. Served on both sides of the table in this unionized shop. Loss of a major contract caused a necessary downsizing.

Tiring of the manufacturing world’s ups and downs, I tried short term situations in auto sales and Mortgage consulting before being recruited by Triple Crown as Fleet Manager.
