University of California Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara, CA Mechanical Engineering B.S. June 2016
Relevant Experience
Northrop Grumman Sponsored Project September 2015 June 2016
● Developed better method of attaching heat sinks to components without using adhesive
● Designed a dual interfaced attachment in Solidworks to make the heat sink and components reworkable/removable
● Machined the necessary parts in the machine shop using mill, CNC, and lathe.
● Tested design using vacuum ovens, thermocouples, hotplates, and shaker tables.
● Gave presentations at UCSB and Northrop Grumman
● Improved thermal conductivity by a multitude of five and allowed the heat sink to be removed from component without damage to component and PCB. Compressed Air Motor March 2014
● Constructed compressed air motor from four different materials ( delrin, steel, copper, aluminum) that ran at 1200 rpm when compressed air is applied.
● Sized down parts using different saws and presses.
● Precisely machined parts using mill and lathe.
Qualifications
● Proficiency in engineering related software like Solidworks, Abaqus CAE, and Comsol.
● Knowledge of fundamental engineering principles acquired by past courses and project experience.
● Excellent communication and presentation skills acquired over numerous presentations and projects.
